Russia does everything big. We had a AN-225 on our flightline to transport an HMH for deployment and that thing dwarfed hangars. You could see the tail everywhere on base.

The 53 though, those things are such beasts.

Correct - 20 normal weight.If needed they can be lift ~25 tonnes.
MAX flying weight ~28 tonnes,but they got very big fueltanks.

Its still in the mod, but its god an odd "lag bug" for some players which makes it unflyable and also a few other issues, we are hoping its going to make a return in the future

Merlins are gorgeous things to fly. And they're a beast in RL... been in one doing all sorts of bat-crazy shit...

That's when they were brand new. I know a few guys that are CH-53E mechs and one finally admitted there's no way any CH-53E in service can lift it's own weight anymore. The airframes have huge amounts of hours on them and there's so many upgrades to the aircraft that it takes away from the lift capacity. That's the reason the CH-46E could only lift 12 troops, and it's heading that way for the MV-22.

Someone fed you a line then, we had a 53 go down in 09 and another one recovered it via slingload. Most of the Echoes are relatively new airframes by MC standards.
