I believe that is a RAM issue.
Not sure don't quote me.

ITS RAM, believe me, with only 2g its impossible to play this game with textures on high, I used to have a system similar to yours and I used winxp. Textures on medium = problem solved. With texture on high the game would crash every single map change.

I used to get the same error message. Putting textures down to medium solved the problem.

indeed, more RAM required, you can also try using gamebooster
Update Game Booster - IObit to free up more RAM before you play, it works very well on vista in particular.

running pr at 32 bit os or less then 4 gig -) memory, dll error
BF2 is a ram eater, and PR way more. get win 64 and minimum 4 GB and you can go with minimum settings on your comp.

Maybe the name of this thread should be changed? As we know it's not about the mod, it's about violetblood's computer.

With 2GB of RAM that's an obvious out of memory error. The game tried to allocate 1.57GB and failed. You will either have to lower the texture quality or get some more RAM.

I got 2 gigs of ram and kept crashing on every second map load until i changed my textures to medium..Just try that and if that doesn't work, try lowering even more your textures or go buy another extra 2 gigs or ram, i know i will...
