Wanda Shan (yes, really) - 10
Kozelsk - 10
Silent Eagle - 10
Kokan - 9 (best insurgency map)
Muttrah - 9 (really well made, really overplayed)
Barracuda - 9 (not always balanced but almost always fun)
Maps I don't like, in no particular order. Qwai, Kashan, Jabal, most insurgency maps (Korengal, Kokan being the exceptions), Iron Eagle.

#1
Al Basrah 10 (there is nothing like rolling out in the warrior crossing the open plains and letting the infantry dismount and enter the city for some great action)
#2
Karbala 10 ( same reason as above)
#3
Muttrah city 10 (this map is never boring, this map is almost impossible to hide in so the fights will be won by the most accurate and fastest team.)
#4
Fools Road 10 ( this map is the opposite of Muttrah but with all the hardware combined with the sneaking infantry squads it requires teams that are able to use both infantry sneaking and the Armour to clear the capture zones of enemy hardware.)
#5
Ramiel 9 (another nice insurgency map but the scale is just too big for just 64 players.)
#6
Fallujah west 9 (action from start to finish because of the small size)
#7
Operation Archer 9 (the valley roads are certain deathtraps so your forced to find alternative routes which makes it interesting to navigate)
#8
Lashkar Valley 8 (nice map but some larger villages would have been even better)
#9
Silent Eagle 8 (good balance of this map )
#10
Dragon fly 8 ( great detailed city in the middle and many options for different approaches to objectives)
#11
Kashan Desert 7 ( a very big open map but there is too much hardware for too few people. Infantry has a hard time on this map unless if it is the INF version)
#12
Quai River 7 ( Fight across the river makes for a good stand-off and takes a great team effort to break through the lines)
#13
Jabal 7 (usually well balanced matches even though the hardware is totally different.)
#14
Beirut 6
#15
Kozelsk 5
#16
Iron Ridge 5
#17
Gaza 4 The armour mostly gives the IDF a disadvantage instead of an advantage because it is too easy for the Militia to destroy. The map is okay for Infantry only though.
#18
Asad Khal 4 ( actually a nice map but gets boring because of the bottlenecks you have to pass through)
#19
Yamalia 3
#20
Kokan 3
#21
Siege at ochamchira 3
#22
Operation Baracuda 3
#23
Burning sands 2 (this map seriously lacking some variation in the terrain.)
#24
Wanda shan 2
#25
Iron eagle 1 (well designed map but sometimes nothing happens for hours because it is too big for 64)
#26
Battle for quinling 1 (the layout is good but the performance is poor)
#27
Korengal valley 1 (I used to like this map but since they removed the strykers and Littlebirds i lost the intrest. Your fighting the terrain more than your fighting the enemy)

You might aswell make 24/7 Muttrah... That is perfect for majority of PR players.
Personally i really dont care what maps are on.

Muttrah City - EVERYTHING!
If I am playing with my clan, I will be infantry, if I was playing alone, I will fly transport, if there was an available attack helicopter, I will take it!
If I was MEC, I will either Drive/Gun a BTR-80 or be infantry and own enemies!

Beirut. It offers tons of different perspectives on combat, be it mechanized inf, light inf, heavy inf, air cav, or using the armor or available choppers. It is balanced on both the infantry layer and alternate layer (64 has flag issues), and keeps server numbers up whenever it comes on.
The environment forces teams to totally lockdown areas of the city in order to progress or defend points, with the ability for both teams to get right up in the heart of the enemy in seconds, be it rushing in with a Humvee, or getting a chopper behind the IDF's primary flag and establishing rear firebases in order to stem the flow of supplies and vehicles from the main. There is never a dull moment and always combat and objectives offered to the players, primairly the infantry which has huge survivability against vehicles in comparison to other maps. Out of the thousands of rounds I've played, the best one was on Beirut.
Its currently the best map IMO, and I never miss a chance to play it. The only map that [will] offer better combat is hopefully Shijia Valley.

I'm not picky when it comes to maps. But I enjoy diversity, so when Battle of Qinling is on then I'm happy.
Favorite maps currently are Wanda Shan, followed by Yamalia. One of the best rounds I had were on that maps.
Iron Eagle is also fun, especially as infantry. And I also love playing Iraqi Insurgents whenever possible so except Basrah (overplayed) I enjoy Karbala and especially Ramiel.
EDIT:
I'll sort it for your data gathering.
1. Wanda Shan
2. Yamalia
3. Ramiel
4. Iron Eagle
5. Battle of Qinling
6. Kozelsk
7. Silent Eagle
8. Iron Ridge
9. Lashkar
10. Karbala

(1) Quai River 64
(2) Muttrah City V2 -64
(3) Kashan -64 (Jets)
(4) Beirut -64
(5) Jabal al burj -64
(1) = favorite (5) = least favorite
good luck with your plan. but becasue people's interests vary so much it will be difficult to nail down which maps are universally favoured. just keep it short and select the top 5 trendies ones and limit your bias as much as possible.

In general I am so damn tired of all the brown maps. They are everywhere and all new games are basically brown...
My preference lies at the green maps. Lots of hills, trees and undergrowth makes a fun environment to play in as you can easily flank and generally piss people off
My top five would probably be something like this:
1.
Dragon Fly - An excellent combination of both wooden warfare and urban warfare. In general it is an extremely fun map to play. So much variation there.
2.
Kozelsk - Woods everywhere! Great fun to fight over the tunnel complex and the bunkers.
3.
Korengal - This one isn't played that much, which in my opinion is quite sad. Sure might be troublesome as US to get all caches but it can be great fun to run around in the hills and amongst all of the bushes.
4.
Iron Ridge - Same as Dragon Fly.
5.
Kokan - Just fun to play with all the compounds and fields.

1. Iron Ridge - probably my favorite at the moment, it is fun on AAS or Insurgency. Insurgency on that map used to suck tho when it was 120M radius for cache
2. Barrentz Invasion - really like this map and wish it got played again. Boat assault on the cargo ship was super fun
3. Muttrah City - all around balanced and great fun
4. Karbala/Al Basrah - as someone else mentioned, nothing like rolling with the APC's supporting infantry entering city. Karbala needs some work on cache algorithm tho, way too predictable and opfor needs some more lovin (arty ied & spg teknical)
5. Kozelsk - please remove (would be way better as insurgency map)
5.

Guys, I am noticing that most everyone has missed this post from the OP from near the bottom of page 2. He is trying to assign numerical values to the postings so that he can get some real data to work from. I am reposting his request to try to help him out.
Good luck Andersson.
