OK, i played Bf2 about a year. I played on 1.0 that was geting prety boring becaus no body was realy good in 1.0 and i decided to instal the bf2 1.41 patch And instaled it.
And when i try to play a black screen comes up for about 5sek and then it
crashes back to desktop.
I tryed to disable the intro movies but it stil didnt work.
plssssssssssssssss help

making new threads wont give you solution any faster. Maybe it will make some peaple think you are a darn idiot and then they wont try to help you. Im not sure if you want this though.

i dont have bf2 special forces on this pc i have bf2 v1.0, is it necessary to patch-up? it shouldnt be....?
whenever i patch my bf2 to v1.41 it always crash to desktop black screen occurs
I think there is a simple soultion to this, but don't know what...any suggestions???

Follow these steps to be able to play PR:

1 Install Battlefield 2.

2 Make sure the game is working.

3 Download patch 1.41

4 Install patch 1.41

5 Make sure the game is working.

6 If your game crashes, it's probably because of the resolution. Go to My Documents, Battlefield 2, Profiles, 0001, Video. Find the resolution, change it to the resolution of your monitor. Make sure you save the notepad. When you've done that, go back to "Profiles", and find the Global file. Open it in notepad, and change the resolution to the same resolution as your monitor (and the same as in 0001).

7 Download patch 1.50

8 Install patch 1.50

9 Make sure the game is working. If it crashes, check out step 6 again.

10 Download Project Reality Part 1-3.

11 Install Project Reality Part 1-3.

12 Update Punkbuster: Even Balance Technical Support - Download

13 If you crash the same way as earlier, do step 6 over again.

ive done reinstalling 4 times but still got the same problem, i have bf2 v1.0 the is working but when i patching it to v1.41 and click the bf2 icon in my desktop it crash to desktop

Please make sure you follow step 6. I think that's where your problem is.

quick question, the bf2patch.exe should be in EA folder under my c drive? or can i patch eve its in my desktop?

It's best if it's in your BF2 folder.

The patch .exe file can be wherever you want it, as long as it's able to find your game.

when i open the global con its "GlobalSettings.setDefaultUser "0001"
there is default folder under the profiles folder and there is a video con file too

ijanuel,are you using a LED monitor? IF so check the refresh rate it 60Mhz

yes LCD monitor, its 75 refresh rate do i need to change it to 60 mhz?
