I find it kinda difficult to breach a door with an SMG
Maybe SMGs should be included in Rifleman - Specialist alternate kit ?

Not sure.it's to much unreality. As I say - there is no SMGs in army, only in police(And anyway - mostly uses AKS-74U)

Actually I want to remove shotgun and give smoke grenades or more frag for him.

Maybe is better than to keep shotgun,
but replace Chinese one with some Russian.

samogon100500 wrote:All small arms what uses in RA is AK-series,PK(PKM/PKP),RPK,RPG,SVD.Weapons like sniper rifles(Except for SVD) and sub-machine guns + silent shooting devices - Using only on SF.
Actually Spetsnaz do not use shotguns to.In PR they using probably for breach door and arrest civilians right?Russia do not have maps with insurgents(Not taliban and not militia).
IRL army does not have shotguns as I said.Watch my quote - this is all weapon, what uses Russian army.Police SF uses shotguns only as Anti-rebel non-lethal weapon,it's very rare that using shotgun for breaching.
Probably uses sledgehammer against wooden doors or portable gas welding machine(Steel doors)
Russian army very different that any NATO army. They got different tactics of warfare. We ready to fight at forests, mountains or desert, but we got small skill of modern urban combat, thats why our army do not have shotguns.

Hmm, a sledge hammer, that'll be amusing
But in the meantime why can't the Russians have their Saiga instead of this Chinese shotgun?

Saiga - hunting shotgun, they made not for military. And Norrico - placeholder for KS-23(But not sure thats it's to much needed - incendiary grenades works well).
Also - would be awesome to see different shotgun for taliban and militia something like this.

But first time - cut off barrel and butt.

Samogon AFAIK Russia does have an INS map. Do the words "Iron" and "Ridge" ring a bell?

I think the norinco shotgun is such a generic pump action shotgun model that you could give it to all factions and I wouldn't mind.

I prefer to remove the shotgun from Russian Specialist, would be realistic and differ from other factions, compensate by giving it more thermite grenades.

Definitely agree here, or else some other tool which could be used to bust open doors. I enjoy the shotguns, but they honestly aren't useful at all in most of my experience.
