Project Reality - ?รต????-???? - Powered by Discuz!
They have 4 servers. 2 PR, 1 BF2 and 1 FH2.
Maybe ill compile a list of servers, their location. And try to figure out what countries the playerbase comes from?

Undoubtedy baseless in terms of data, but a general opinion is worth a lot too. How do you feel about the makeup of PR players?
Wicca, brilliant thread btw. It never occurred to me to find out what others' perceptions of the mod were.

Little tip:
Going into the PRspy and looking at the player flags, is not the same as finding out what country they are from
Ok ill start the list now:
Outline will be just what continents players come from. No numbers are yet to be recorded. And these are just my guesses. More detailed searches will be done later. But you have to start somewhere.

These were taken from the PR Spy.

Interesting to see the difference in playerbase of the mod compared to the spread of forum users.
Forum is approx 50% Americas, 40% Euro, 10% Others from memory.

well its an english forum. Attracts english speaking members, not german.
We could invade germany and force them to learn english. However we did that 60 years ago. Lets not do it again.
Ill make a more complete list tommorow.

Yeah, when Norway invaded Germany... oh wait.

iirc there where things like free Norwegian brigades, and free polish and french, etc., etc.. So he's not too far off there really.
Anyway, on-topic:
Yeah, I have the feeling the playerbase looks a lot different than these forums might suggest, when playing I see loads of players from the Balkans, Baltic and Russia, yet in these forums they are represented very little.
Native English speakers definetly make up a much larger proportion on the forums than in-game, and naturally so.
The German community seems to keep to itself for the most part, except for GIS+and KSK whom I see frequently on non german speaking servers.
The same seems true for much of the russian speaking and finnish playerbase.

Its sad really. I wish we could share this forum with every player. To make it a base point for so much win!

Everytime I play on European servers like coffeeshop/rulez/abc/TG, I see GER/RUS squads, and English speaking mostly for TG.

Generally I try to stick to one or 3 servers iam familiar with. If you stick to a server and many others do the same, then there are a lot of regulars on there. Its like a huge clan teamwork is fine and its good fun.
Games where most people dont know each other have been very unenjoyable for me. People log on there to often do their own thing, learn to fly, etc. .
HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised with the mumble password protected 128 player server. Personally I think making mumble a requierment acts as a moron filter and keeps the people out who feel you need some kind of genius to set up mumble. Also I assume most people who logged on were veterans.
