a couple of responses to things I've missed in the past pages:
1.
LOOOL - as a German I can tell you Americans, Dutch and people from all over the world that this is not how you pronounce Beethoven
Especially the "bait" part is not correct.
dude. We pronounce beethoven exactly (bar the dzjerman akzent

) the way you do, but how does one explain the pronuncation of Beethoven to (specifically) Americans without using the phonological alphabet? Bait comes most close to beet so hence my choice. (btw, I've always wondered why a German, even though he's lived in Austria for some time, would have the very typical Dutch V in his name instead of the almost stereotypical F in Hoven?)

This general lack of communication reminds me that the PR:V developer never communicate anything about his mod, I know he is working on PR:V and on PR:ArmA II but down the PR:V forum we have to supplicate him for having one miserable screenshoot, and when he accept he comments his link with "You don't miss anything" etc... Recently he did a little video of him wondering around the training airport where all the vehicules are, there is a huge bunch of new vehicules that we never saw before, new weapons etc, the only new from at least 6 mounths!
Someone said after his post that the players were not informed enough, the Dev locked the thread afterward, I found that quite rude from a Dev to minimize his work to nothing and to not inform the PR community as the other Dev's do. It was my opinion, quite "radical" I admit.
I tend to disagree. Though only twice by means of an official highlight/blog we have been given quite a bit of information, mostly visual, about PRV and it's progress. There's quite a lot of pics and vids hidden in those threads at the subforums. The PRV-devs seem to be still at an early stage of development, and though assets are coming out quite allright these are mostly eod's. Quality maps seem to be the problem at this moment as most of eod's maps are below par to PR's qualitystandard, being vastly too small or suffering gameplayrelated problems.
I, too, would like to see more progress updates concerning PRV, but I do sincerely understand, and support, the dev's decision to lock threads wherein people continue to whine for updates or even insult the dev's on a weekly basis, which was the case in that specific thread you refer to.
3. Separately, there's also been a debate going here on media updates, highlights and the like. I would like to have my say about this as well:
In the past I can remember there was an abundance of information, being from comfac's, community mapping/modding and quite regular dev news. In general, to me, this meant that I was constantly highstrung on excitement, looking forward to the next release from an early stage, checking the forums several times a day (and not always in vain), dying in anticipation. And though I'd seen most content coming with a patch I'd still be excited and there were still more than enough suprises, by means of withheld information or not yet highlighted tweaks, sneaky new animations, the like.
In my memory this has changed around 0.9. We have now perhaps once in a month some rather vague dev blogs, and once in two, perhaps three, a couple of highlights. The best source of information lies in the dev's comments in threads, but this is of course still rather vague. The result is generally very little information (compared to the past) untill release. Personally I felt much less enthousiastic last releases than I was for 0.9 and the releases before, though the amount of high-quality content, bugfixes and gamechanging edits hasn't lessened, not even dwindled a bit and PR is still setting new heights in terms of quality.
Then again, perhaps I'm just growing older or, even worse, spoilt. Even so, I would like to see more information (on a more or less regular basis), even if it's been showed or hinted at before, to wet my appetite and keep the flame ignited untill releasetime.
