i rarely have bad experiences on VOIP, the whole screaming kids thing is uncommon on PR as it is. thats more common for run and gun games and in particular anything on console. I've always managed to even with an uncooperative squad, manipulate them into working together as a SL, of they grab a sniper kit, instead of lashing out i either ask them nicely to pickup another kit the next chance they get, or fully utilize him/her for that role. a lot of people dont remember that in war it's not only your enemies which you must adapt to, but your allies as well. you must accommodate for what they can and cannot do, and use them as such.
@Coolio: nice pic lol, i'm personally sort of in between the two. i game a lot but i also get out there and do it in person.

You do Tom Hanks in person?
Also, the mute button is always a helpful tool, as is the volume control.

I voted for Enthusiasm, since it's what I tend to portray when I play. I dont Roleplay that I'm some insurgent or marine, but yeah, the enthusiasm of the action is there. To me, that just adds to the fun and chaos of a realistic military shooter such as PR

Oh isn't it just....When my brand new X-Box 360 arrived I went straight for a BF2 online match to see how it compared to the original, for the first and last time....
Nothing but squeaky kids yapping incessantly, and to add insult to injury one of the little shits sent me a message over X-Box Live full of infantile gibberish of how he had owned me in-game.
Needless to say I let my Gold-membership expire after that, and the 360 version of BF2 is rotting away in my shelf...
Luckily, these kind of incidents are rare in PR...

I just want to be able to understand them, have the information as quickly as possible, and keep the chatter to the important information only.

Enthusiasm is needed to keep a positive and focued mood. But to much breaks focus. Also, roleplaying makes some people uncomfortable or feel awkward, thus hurting the squad. I think it's best to leave roleplaying dor when you are playing with clan members or personal friends

The most annoying thing when playing PR is being on VOIP/TS/Vent and the person is eating while playing.
So you get these chip crunching, sloshing, cracking noises, with swallowing sounds, its gross, and annoying, and distracting.
This has only happened to me twice though, same guy. [DM]Cheomesh aka ExpendableGrunt
You need to cut thats shit out man.

Discusting.
Also the yawning and all that.
I don't want to get started on that.
They are acting like they are dead.
When playing PR people should be more lively.
Not sleep on the damn PC.
I mean the game isn't going anywhere like omg go finish your lunch and then play.
And have a decent amount of sleep.

To be honest,I usually start more in a *yawn* like way and then get excited. In text form it would look like :
Oh shit theres A GRENADE GET AWAY! (*AHHHHHHHH* If I get affected by it.). When I see enemy contacts I speak loud and clear but not with to much emotion. I also swear often if were under fire. But along with useful information. For example "Enemy at (insertrandomlocation) Oh shit he saw us".

I swear/curse a lot >.< but at the same time kill people and give useful information.
But you will never find me eating and playing + yawning.

I don't care HOW people sound as long as they know what to say.
like people who say "TANGO!" but give no coordinates and just start shooting. I prefer an organized squad using VOIP's with the SL exercising fire Discipline and engagement rules. a joint Fire wallop is much more effective than a single source of fire, on unaware enemies.
I don't care for the casual talk, sometimes I even encourage it when sitting in an ambush or making a long journey. this IS a game and we're playing for fun. it depends on the people, sometimes you have those who are serious like cancer and then you have those who you know you can joke with. most people I stumbled upon in PR were nice though.
with an expection to my SL last night, who was acting really impatiently. his orders made sense, but the guy just went cuckoo out of the blue, shouting "Clusterfuck!", shouting at his Squaddies that they are noobs (while the opposite is probably true) and just generally running his mouth and making a few squaddies leave.
Profanity is ok, actually sometimes it enhances the grittiness of this game, but it's bad when it's turned against your squad mates, teammates or all players in general. some people need to make the distinction between their RL problems and this game, or take some pacifiers before playing.

This reminds me when I play with my clan

We joke and talk until we get to the certain point we need to get to.
Or ambushing.
Sometimes in middle of combat if we see something funny we take a pic or so.
Few days ago on Korengal Valley.
xD
There were 3 guys in a same place right after each other using their binoculars and looking trough a hole. XD
Here's the pic.

That looks wrong.
I'm surprised I'm not mentioned in this thread for blowing peoples ear drums when taking fire.
