that how we play no flag and run ojb in our tournaments so flag capping is no more
if you like to nip onto our ts you know which one it is as we see you doing movies on it we can talk as i need to have a quite word with you

I'll be in touch. Hopefully I will get the new version up sooner rather than later. Im starting the lightmaps now, theyll run through tomorrow some time... I just have to force myself to not use the computer whlie theyre running, or I risk an error in the editor.
As always, Ill keep you all posted.

New version is uploading to filefront, I did a little to the INS spawn, not too much, fixed floating buildings, added trees by hand to the one area by eastern modque, reran lightmaps, but they are still not fully done... ive been low on time and sick the past days so i dont know when the next update will be, but hopefully this will tide you over...
servers, you dont need to run it on your server, because AAS is NOT working on it, nor is basic flag capture. i think i know the problem/reason, but i dont know how to solve it.
I know this isnt a problem for the tourny server, but others... yeah.
anyway, so, in a few hours from now, check my filefront, i removed the old one and this will go in its place.
new music
object render distance still fubar
terrain texture still fubar
added more vehicles, raodblocks, and smoke. city looks a bit more rundown and lived in.
added a big pile of trash which could be fun defending an RP at
more...

File Uploaded. Be sure to download the fixed Server.zip also and replace the one in the map's full download. Kits were not working correctly, but it should be fixed now.
Plenty of known issues, but nothing major other than not being able to cap flags... dont download if you dont want to. But maybe I'll get some time to play on the tourny server with LightningUk and the rest.

Really nice job on the latest release.
Just watched black hawk down again and i tell you i just can't wait to play an actual round on this map. I JUST CANT WAIT !!!
Btw one suggestion as we know pr does not have somalia skins and stuff. I seen in the black hawk down move the somalians are rather dark. ( Not to b e racist or anything)
So i thought maybe you could add the US heavy soldier skins to the insurgents in the init.con. Just a thought although this would make the insurgents much stronger since they are using heavy soldier body. But if you could create a new soldier.con for insurgents utilising the US skins that would solve it and mount it in the map objects_server.
Just a thought.

Well, then the insurgents (Somali Militia) will be running around in US camo, and you can't just tell it to use the face texture because it's a different model. I'll try to get new faces/hands ready for possibly the next release

LOL very true. I forgot to consider the fact that the base shirt that they're wearing will be the US camo. So well; this would not work. Hope that you will be successful in the skinning of the somalians. I would love to skin but have no idea how to. I dont even know what alpha channel is...
Not a high priority to be added to 0.7 but i think pilots would love to have a Anti G-suit specially for them

It would be cool but well doesnt really do anything.
UPDATE: Some weapons seem to not show on the player hud. Eg. the pilot's pistol does not show. I tested other maps and it shows and i think it may be something to do with the map. Is anyone else getting such problems?

Well what could be done is to change the skin tone of the face that uses the insurgents heavy kit because he's only wearing the the shemagh i think its called? then you would only have that part of the face showing instead of the whole face without the (shemagh?) which has a beard.. could this be done with all the kits?

im gonna update the server.zip and then put tat up to download, that should fix the kit problem (pilot kit pistol, etc.)

server zip fix, its only like 999kb or something, so just drop this into your map's folder and replace the other server.zip.

Ah great ! The one I downloaded is 6+ Mb, not 999kb. I'll test it. Not that the link to download the map in your signature don't work anymore. It can be due to servers maintenance of filefront.

I think filefront is sending me the wrong files. I dl the first time looked ok its a bf2 map server file. Opened it and checked init.con what on earth it says levels juan lopez and theres chinese vehicles in gameplay objects. Tried again this time i got something looking like counterstrike server files. I'll try again.
Ok now it works because i was saving it under a different file name thats why. Really odd.
