Hmm, have a feeling that germans will be able to spawn in the beach with no limited kits. So for the most part they will resort to the deployable assets.
Looking at the logs Dune wroted and I quote "teeny tiny beach". So yeah, I guess you have your answer there. Seems like a smart idea, my feeling is that americans will feel more obstructed in trying to climb the cliffs rather than the beach razor wire obstacles and german heavy fire.

If you land on the beaches by yourself, you may as well swim back.
If you land on the beaches with all your teammates, you have a good chance of survival.
I'm not locking the map to any particular area. It's fictional. Has Omaha moments, but Pointe du Hoc as well.

Effective range: 500 m (547 yd) (with iron sights)
800+ m (875 yd) (with optics)
Would be awesome to play with a Hellcat... and with a Stug as well...

There's a bunch of German tanks in BGF, but got no US tanks to counter them. And then there's the part where the vehicles have to be re-coded, to have separated driver/gunner.
Don't worry, there will be enough toys to play with .

Considered the M26 Pershing from BF:Korea?
Pershings were rare in WW2 compared to Shermans, however if Project Normandy isn't meant to be 100% authentic than it's 'close enough'.

I have, but since it wasn't used a lot in WW2 and I don't know how to code them, I let that idea go. But if anyone knows how to code them (separate driver/gunner, etc.), I'm more than happy to put tanks in the map - though they will be scarce.
BGF offers a couple of tanks. I'm not at home right now, so can't look at what tanks are actually available (moddb contains renders of unfinished tanks as well), but from the top of my head: Panzer III, Panzer IV, StuG III. They come in various skins as well.
