If you want reality, you only die once. The faster scope times in .07 compinsated for the fact that its just a game and you have alot fewer senses to work with than in real life. (as in no prephial vision) Sometimes in a game, things you can do faster than you can in reality make up 4 things you cant do on your computer. And the running thing is just sad now.Soldiers are supposeed to be in top shape....or at least able to run more than a half block. Alomst makes me want to be a sniper. Almost.

the most annoying thing is a complete failing of 08 to work in partnership with punkbuster.
im completely incabable of connecting to any servers for more than 2 minutes
and this is a problem for people all over the world,
other than that i love everything they have done with the game i have tried nearly everything out by running the training servers as single player,
but this issue has made the game unplayable for me sure 7.5 had some issues but at least i could play it.

I had the same issue with PB I assume many others have had (error code 119502), and does anyone know how to fix this? I get kicked in the middle of training rounds and real games on some servers, and for others, I have no issues.
My biggest complaint though is weapon accuracy. I'm not saying it is either too accurate or too inaccurate, but basically it can be very hit-or-miss. I've been trying to figure out the basic pattern or strategy to getting off the best shots but I haven't found something that works frequently enough. Sometimes, I take several well aimed single shots and make all hits (I was 2 for 2 in Al Basrah from probably the edge of to beyond 200m, from 5 stories up, with an Enfield w/ iron sights = 2 kills!) and other times, I take similar well aimed shots from much closer and don't seem to hit anything but the surrounding terrain. I've noticed shots from "marksmen" kit rifles hitting walls next to targets that were maybe 50m out on the first shot.
I know weapons can't be too accurate, or too inaccurate, but sometimes I feel like shots I know should be hits aren't (or too hard to tell) hits, even when the weapon itself is accurate, the aim is accurate, and the distance isn't questionable for the previously stated variables.
It's great when someone shooting at me can't make the hits, but its a pain when I experience seemingly random inaccuracy.

Ooh! One more!
Why does it take me forever to scope my gun? I know it probably encourages careful play, teamwork, less run and gun, etc, etc, but even with iron sights or red dot scopes or w/e, I want to return aimed fire fast. I don't need lightning speed, but if it takes a full second (I don't know the times, but it sure feels that slow) to bring my AR up in a CQB fight then I'm probably dead.
In the spirit of the mod I don't like to no-scope, but I'm not going to tip-toe around the map all day with my sights to my eye just for that reason. (I've had some pretty good no-scopes too) In real life, as this mod tries to emulate, soldiers can sight way faster than they do in this mod, because its easy, and important for getting off shots first.

Constructive criticism is one thing, trolling, disrespect, bad tone/attitude are another.
In a sense, it's not what you say, but how you say it.

Single most hating thing in PR
The BF2 game engine. Perfect mod; really, really bad game engine. I get unbelievable lag when playing online, even with a ping of 90 - 100.

People who ***** and complain about not getting a medic to them fast enough, If your a SL I will get to you first, If you have a limited kit I will get to you next, if you are a general soldier and your SL and someone with a limited kit are down...then suck it up and wait or die, you arn't as important at that particular time as the SL or people with limited kits.
GET OVER IT.

Might be true, but your not automatically wrong if you say something in a bad tone.

I'm going to break the rule of only posting one hated thing...
The scope in/ out and reload times. I've said it elswhere, but it bears repeating. The implementation of the new deviation system promotes slower gameplay, but the scope times just drives me bonkers. It doesn't take nearly that long to bring a rifle or LMG on target, and it's starting to get a little irritating. Same goes for reloading, I'd probably be dead if it took me that long to reload.
One good thing has come from these two complaints, I've been getting better at operating vehicles...

The thing I hate in PR? ... The Chinese Type 88, that thing is terrible and gets stuck really easy, but it's a EA model so what do you expect. I hope the next update focuses on the MEC and PLA factions, giving them new support vehicles, models, and skins.
Also, one thing people seem to be missing in this thread in reguard to the scope in times is that a scope is supposed to be for longrange engagements, not CQC. If you are a opics rifleman and you run into someone in close quaters, don't use your scope. Either fire like you are, or hit the deck and let your squadmates (who you are supposed to be with) who have ironsights or Aimpoints like Medics or engineers drop him. It's all about balance people. In .75 almost noone would take the rifleman ironsights rifle because it had the same loadout as the rifleman optics, but didn't have the long range capabilities of the scope. IE. The rifleman ironsights was only good in CQC, while the optics was good everywhere. With the sight in times for the scopes in .8, which BTW is only 1 second, the kits are how they should have been, ironsights good in CQC but vulnerable at a distance, optics good at a distance, but vulnerable in CQC.
As for reloading, I think I've been killed once reloading my rifle and that was my fault. I was on Ramiel as INS and was on a balcony of a building. I saw a LB landing in a courtyard about 20 feet away so I start shooting at it with my AK and end up killing the pilot. I was all excited when it hit the ground that I ran down the ramp to see if I could scavenge any kits. It didn't register that it took several seconds for the LB to explode, and when I got to the wreckage I found a very alive US Rifleman who was very pissed at me. I started shooting at him, but after only 3 rounds my gun clicked empty and he took pleasure in lighting my middleeastern but up.

The average infantry vs infantry engagement takes place at less than 75m, even on many 2km by 2km maps.
There are no such things as proper fire fights, you know the thing im talking about...not! Enagements that last for at least 2 mins, with minimum of 1 squad vs another, in which no one gets killed.

Im a medic 90% of the time in squads and when you revive someone and move back into some cover just a couple of feet away exspecting the guy to stumble over so you can finish the bandaging, some guy's just lays there saying come over and heal me then, even though his tacking fire with bullets slapping the floor next to him.
So from now on i just throw a rag bandage and say good luck with that mate and run off for cover to help somone with some brains left.

The sound of your squads transports engine starting up and driving off when its not one of your guys. Particularly if you have a gunner on it at the time.

i hate new sprint system =()

It's hard decide between the extremely short sprint distance with the extremely long time it takes to recharge it or bleeding to death from a six food fall (huge problem with insurgents). Increase the sprint distance by fifty to one-hundred percent and I'd be happy. As for the damage from a fall, I'm not sure how that can be adjusted but you should be able to drop one story without bleeding to death. Normally this isn't much of an issue unless you're an insurgent to which you can't heal yourself and thus spend the next few minutes half-blind.
