Turkey vs..? MEC?.........?

More like Taliban/Ins (what suits you more) and maybe even IDF (though depends on if Turkey is extremely Blu or is it a gray area like Russia)

I understand that you might not know about some of conflicts that New Zealand has fought in, and I myself have no idea what conflicts Turkey has participated in more recent times but I am willing to find out about a country's military participation, rather than assume its not an active player because it doesn't get much media time.

If anything, Turkey, the second largest member of NATO in terms of its military personnel should be included in this great mod. It would only accentuate the experience and help Project Reality make itself more comprehensive. A scenario featuring the Turkish Army or Gendarmerie against a militia of the PKK (Kurdish Worker's Party) would be fitting and perfect for this modification. Or perhaps the Turkish Army against the Fictional MEC would also fare well.

New Zealand conflicts? They havent had any of their own conflicts in a while. They had combat troops in Vietnam, Gulf War now they train ANA in A-stan and have their SAS troops down south, and of course the Iraq war.. I miss anything, other than UN missions?


And no worries, nobody really knows the conflicts Turkey is in, the number 1 question I get when I say im active TAF is 'Oh so you guys fight Kurds or something?' (They probably dont even give a flying fvck anyway lol) and thats about it.

has any work on this faction been made yet? and if so where is the leader of this team?

I like this idea. I've also found out that Turkey is in Eurocorps and the Italian Turkish battle group for Europe.

I would certainly support and perhaps lend a hand for the creation of this faction. Turkey has the second largest army in NATO and is in active conflict with the PKK insurgents. It would be a shame to not have them in this great mod.

We need more OpFor... So instead of making turkey... We should first make something like North korea or something.

i don't know why this is even a debate, if there is is a team of Turkish or Turkish supporting modders wanting to make this then why are they not working on it themselves, i a sure there is a great Turkish modding community out there, after all mount and blade is Turkish...no?
if there are people who feel like making this mod unofficially what is really stopping them, at least they could make a start?.....and when the time comes to start work on new forces i am sure TAF would be one of the first up

I agree. That's pretty much how the French faction started. An independent team working on it own and then they got after they got a lot of material done or almost done. Nothing really stops people to work on this independently.

2nd Fictional battle could be Turkey defending against Mec.When Turkey keeps with Nato protocols MEC understand Turkey is its enemy and attacks Turkey to gain strategical advantage over NATO.Desert Concept/Low Vegetation/Green

3rd Fictional Battle could be Turkey vs Militia on the East Turkey stops the arms deal flowing to north iraq and intecepts militia forces in the Caucasus.Hilly Green Concept

4th Turkey vs Russia on the north east.Russia attacks Turkey when Turkey agrees to help germany with the defence of Europe etc The Battle rages.HillyGreen Concept

5th Turkey vs Taliban in Afghanistan Turkish troops stationed in the Afghanistan base move out to clear weapon caches and bring stability back to the region.Desert Concept
