Sgt.Smeg wrote:NOOO! you're missing our points aswell! We like the G3 as it is, it is awesome, we love it! It will just look unrealistic to see ins squads FULL of G3s. In a squad of 6, you would see 1 G3 max to be realistic.
With the possibily that everyone in an ins cell could choose the G3, it would look unrealistic to see the lot of them with G3s.
We love the G3, it's an awesome addition but not everyone in an insurgent cell should have the chance of spawning with one for realisms sake.
I don't know how many other ways I can word this but I hope you understand what we're trying to say.
lol easy man. he's joking with you. they understand what we're saying and they see the reason in our conclusions. i believe change is on the way, but it has always been, since the picture was just work in progress.

Don't you love the PR community, we latch onto things we think are very important
But as my compatriots have said, we love the idea of a G3 for the insurgents, just not as a spawn kit, it should be limited.

Agreed, I'm all for seeing more pickup kits at the caches. But the new spawnable weapons are good too, Ak74su woo

Silly dbzao, don't you know? Anything that can happen on the Internet, will happen on the Internet.

according to lord of war (movie) it is cheaper to make new weapons then import all the old ones back from the war site.

thats how the ******** get their black market weapons!

Pick-uppable, limited G3s would still add variation. The number of them is relevant just as the numbers of the other kits are in this mod. All in the name of realism. Yes, there are more AKs than anything out there, this is what we're trying to get at. Realism FTW! We're basing this off the second image on the first page, not 0.8 weapons. The way that the G3 may work in 0.85 is irrelevant, I'm on about the typical load-out for a real insurgent cell.
I'm not on about the workings of the G3 at all, I don't care how much stopping power, recoil, ammo or whatever it has as long as G3s are limited below the number of possible AKs etc...
If the G3 is released into INS with the AK-47 being what it is right now, everyone will use a G3. You see the DEVS probably know this and (my fantasy) make the AK a better gun. That way not as many people will use the G3. That is my theory on it all, one of the biggest complaints with INS is the AK, so they are bound to take care of that. K now you are clear to flame me to death *closes eyes*

There's reasons for choosing other weapons over the G3. The G3 has a ton of recoil, which makes it difficult to use at close distances for accurate fire, and at longer distances, for rapid suppression fire. I always find getting followup shots with the G3. AK47 would be the choice if you want more controllable automatic fire.

Epic update

About the G3, you could use FH2's kit limit system, so not every insurgent could get it and you wouldn't need to go to the weapon cache to get it

If insurgents were left with rocks only - people would still complain they're too
big.Insurgent SL should be more like the old militia kit:
SVD,Grapple.nades, skorpion ....at least keep the GL for crying out loud

Regarding weapon availabilty IRL:
Some guys are stating in this thread that e.g. the ins having the G3 as a spawnkit isn't realistic at all. I'd say make your mind up, read and think. The G3 is besides the AK47, M16 and FN FAL the most produced Rifle nowadays. Production started in 1959 and it was produced all over the world (South east asia, latin america, near east) so it is very realistic that the ins have the G3 as spawnkits. Maybe someone doesn't like the fact that the "axis of the evil" has some cool weapons as well, but if you have money you will get some cool tools to kill thats for sure. Regarding this it would be realistic to have ins and militia to have some modern scoped hightech rifles as pickup-kits, but maybe that is a bit to much of realism.
In fact I really really like the return of the G3 to the Ins. Thx for this one.
