The new system basically kills Insurgency. Look at Lashkar Valley for instance. All the Taliban have to do to win that map is camp the hell out of the British main and they will be able to stop the flow of supplies out of their main and the British won't be able to get any supplies up at all. The British main is bad enough without a dome of death (I mean, I just came out of a game where the Taliban put a Hideout in the British main..........), but if the British can't get an FOB up intime, they will get steamrolled when the insurgents put up a hideout right outside their main. Its basically Korengal 0.85, but worse. Also, assaults by squads are now clusterf*cks as the Insurgents still hold their advantage in defense/ambushing over the UF/UK forces who now have more disadvantages.
On some maps, the new system is actually pretty decent, like on Yamalia. There maybe less action, but its not a bad system on that map because the helos can actually make it to a location (unlike a truck) and the land is flat and spread out. The bad part is, that the closest you can build an FOB to the enemy flag is like 500-800M and even the helo may get shot down, so you end up walking a long ways back to assault a flag. Even with a picture perfect assault, it takes multiple assaults and that's just too much walking, even for me. On some large maps and small maps though (Iron Ridge, Gaza, Lashkar), the system is just bad because one engineer can mine an enemies main or camp it and essentially cut off their respawns.
And I lol at all the people who said that "the new FOB/RP system promotes more team built FOBs" when infact, it promotes more gamey FOBs. All I have to do now is get a squad member to go with me to a spot and have the rest of the squad wait, I will drop the crates, put down an FOB and RP, and the rest of my squad will spawn in and the RP will be recharged like magic. So now I can transport 6 men by 2 man truck essentially.

Nope, this system rewards campers. Assaulting, which was already hard enough in AAS, let alone Insurgency is even harder now. We had 2 caches in the city of Iron Ridge and we didn't manage to get one the entire game even though we had 2 FOBs about 500M from the city and used arty twice. Its also much easier to be killed now that deviation and sniping has been changed.
The new system isn't that great, but it also isn't the worst ever like the APC spawns. If RPs stood around for around 10 minutes, it would actually give the squads a chance to assault and make something happen instead of being an easier/cheaper way of building FOBs and occassionally regrouping 1 squad member because the rest decided to already respawn in and walk. I mean, do you really expect them to wait for the rest of the squad to die when no one knows when or if that will come? A 10-15 minute timer would be a pretty good idea on RPs to try out if the old system isn't coming back, if it is, bring back the old system.
