Me being the administrator/owner of a couple source-mod servers understand it is hard to recruit admins but you must do it sparingly. Quality of quantity.
Use our forums, I check it everyday. I need to know names/times/situations. We can do something but I need to know more.

Just wanted to drop a quick note here thanking the TAR admins for a well run server. They have done a great job cleaning house. I play on this server several times a week, and the game play and admins are great. The admins are quick to handle problems, and responsive to the players. Well done TAR.

Thanks, and we consider you guys a great asset to the server. Solid teamwork, great leadership, who could ask for a better group of guys? Welcome to our server administration group as well!
Now, go blow chit up!

12 hour ban for a TK? Really?

Depending on the who/what/when/where/why which you left out, yes. And you can be permanently banned for TK's as well.
If you feel like an admin overstepped his rights, it can always be contested in our forums.

Admins are switching clanmembers together on one team (without asking, pretty cool

). And are trying to get everyone in mumble! great server!
Curry.

Thanks!
Mumble is a work in progress. We don't require it but it sure does help.

I had a shitload of fun last night in the server. I'll be headed back there whenever possible, no matter how many players are in.
We had that cache locked down like....a lockbox?
Also, a question -- can someone tell me why Mumble is often preferred to standard VOIP? is it so you can talk to squadmembers in your proximity instead of being limited to only talking to your own squad?

Absolutely not! We don't require mumble. Kicks made for spots on the server are towards low points/ping/-teamwork or sometimes just bad damn luck for the one kicked. We hate to kick anyone, but sometimes it's necessary to get regulars and admins in.

That match was a blast, first known cache, last one to go. We had US raging about that one.
And to answer you, Mumble lets you talk to your squad (if all are in) and squads close to you. I use mumble, TS, and voip for teamwork coordination reasons but prefer mumble over voip. So yes, it's a more useful tool.

How would one go about formally complaining about one of your admins?
Considering I just got a 12 hour ban for shooting into main when I did no such thing, yet players after I got banned who were actually shooting into your main only got kicked?

Provides the details in the first post.
But to save you the considerable effort:

Personally though rather than posting up the details in the open forum it might be more respectful and effective to PM one of their forum mods/ head admins.

You are more than welcome to post complaints in our forums about anyone, admins included. Though they won't be handled here, I can tell you it would depend on if it was actually witnessed by an admin or just complaints from other players. Feel free to post on our forums and put as much detail as you can in as we have logs that can be reviewed.

Our server rules have been updated!
You can read them on the 1st page or our forums in
]TAR[ Server Rules
Also, for those that may not know, we have enlisted admins from not only our clan, but from =BST= and [508th] as well to ensure complete coverage of our servers.

Has some good games on your server lately. I really appreciate your admins who try to keep people from the same clans together without even asking. Also thanks for taking care of the ghosting clan on archer last night.

Disgusted with not only the quality of players on your server and in the ]TAR[ clan in general, but the quality of admins as well.
After joining the tank squad on Silent Eagle and grabbing a tank with my mate, I accidentally organized a kick vote against the SL, Arcowolf, even though I was trying to mute him. After apologizing and explaining that I was only trying to mute them for some clear communications so we could fight effectively, we were kicked from the squad. Upon rejoining and making and continuing to explain ourselves, ]TAR[chocbro1 said 'nope, nope, you're gone, we don't like griefers here', which was utterly ludicrous considering I had a valid excuse, and was then subsequently kicked from the server.
That example isn't the first time I've had an abysmal round on TAR. Quite frankly I wouldn't recommend the server to anyone, there are many better and more well presented servers out there with more mature clans running them. Word from the wise: avoid this server entirely.

On further inspection, I do not see your name anywhere in our admin logs as being banned, kicked, or warned. I looked between 7/18/11 and 7/21/11 as you posted this on the 20th. I also checked the chat logs and don't see your name anywhere. Are you sure it was our server because it should be listed?

I'm sure it was happening because I was there, feel free to ask Majorbummer all about it.
Of course, he's *your* prize admin, so it couldn't be him. Maybe it's time to seriously reconsider the administration of the clan.
P.S. this is coming from a (now former) clan member
