Awww...that's no fun using rallies to spawn on Normandy! You're a paratrooper son! Do what you were born to do!

Isn't the using that deploy effect for the 1919, really buggy?
Also won't it be really useless compared to the traditional mg system, i mean with this you can't fire from a trench or bunker really.

No, it's not. We've tested it several times in different types of terrain.tankninja1 wrote:Isn't the using that deploy effect for the 1919, really buggy?
We're experimenting ways to fire the weapon while standing (which will give you the ability to fire it inside houses and bunkers). As far as trenches go, i'm afraid that might very well be an impossibility under this system. But it's probably the only one. The reduced mobility compared to other mgs is compensated with ammo capacity. We also did this for the sake of weapon balance.tankninja1 wrote:Also won't it be really useless compared to the traditional mg system, i mean with this you can't fire from a trench or bunker really.

I don't believe we are going to be using the Lafette at the moment, I don't think we have a correct model for it. Always a possibility in the future past the initial release.
I think that the current idea is that the MG42 will be similar to PR's current MMG setup, while only the M1919 will have this special tripod system. That being said, the M1919 will get quite a bit more ammunition than the MG42 to compensate for having to set it up, mounting the gun, etc.

Is Anders doing the sound? Any chance we could get a small preview of the firing/reloading or ambient sounds?

I don't believe we have anything like that in game at the moment, whether it's due to censorship or not I am not sure, but chances are that's probably the reason. It tends to be a big things with a lot of games.

Yeah we dont have anything like that in game, and instead of causing issues with people in the servers leaving it out is just easier.Ratface wrote:I don't believe we have anything like that in game at the moment, whether it's due to censorship or not I am not sure, but chances are that's probably the reason. Does a bear shit in the woods?Freddy120 wrote:Will there be censorship? As in Swastikas not being ingame?
Of course there will be cencorship.
But, fear not! every other sadistic symbol will be allowed though.
Like communist star with hammer and sickle, even though communists killed 30 million of their own in purifications and with starvation.
Hitler was a little schoolboy compared to Stalin.
But hey, hush hush.

The Swastika isn't banned from games for the simple fact that Hitler found it cool, it's banned because some countries have laws against the use of such symbols (e.g. Germany), so as long as countries relevant to PR (countries that have a very large playerbase) forbid the use of such symbols, PR and it's associated mini-mods will keep the censorship over the Swastika. The Hammer and Sickle, on the other side, is not banned in any country that I know of, or at least not any relevant country, which is why it is not censored.
