Omaha Beach is the most retarted map I ever had the displeasure of playing. It has nothing to do with actual PR and is just a spamfest for machineguns and mortars. If I want that I will play some generic AAA-shooter with killstreaks. Yes, I get that it's realistic, yet it still has nothing to with PR.

Sorry for being that harsh. I am thankful for all the other stuff in the WW2-Mod but Omaha Beach is just shit.

Omaha beach is the best map of PR since you actually have to work with the rest of your team to win the round. Incredible eh? You can't just walk alone and play BF style.

Best map is Carentan. Omaha is nice but, hmm, hmm, something isn't right. Only one tank? No 88 guns? Bugs? Also Omaha don't have skirmish mode.

Agree with you. Its so much fun to work together and still get mortared and AR'd all the time...

Playing on US side works only if the GER team is absolute unorganized because there isnt any space to flank the enemys.

And the realism aspect is complete shit because why dont we play hiroshima map?

I'm not talking about any kind of realism, yes it's hard, but not impossible. You just need 50 people working together and communicating (something rare to see these days)
Also a good CO with a good plan who can lead a whole team.

Imo the large layout is the best for US, I agree on the fact that STD is a nomatch, US doesn't have enough tickets to cap the beach and then the WNs
But large layout is doable, with area attack and a massive wave, you can easily cap a beach.
FOBs are useless until you cap a WN, it's just a spawnrape otherwise.
And don't forget the 2 tanks that can bring a lot of smoke, destroy cannons and emplacements.

When US team is organized they can win, but as I said it requires some coordination and communication.

They can and they do: I've seen more US victories than defeats in Omaha.

If you mean 88mm Flaks: They didn't have them at Omaha Beach.

My thoughts after this weekend, I played 3 times, Carentan twice and Merville once

Merville was HARD for US. I dunno if we had a cheater or two but if not then german rifle is OP. Smoke needed a LOT to have any chance and it isn't great smoke

US point man gets only one grenade and one C4? Really?

M8 Greyhound OP. Probably. I am shit at assets yet I had a lovely time. Haven't tried the German APC yet.

I would love for there to be another WW2 weekend soon.

Played a bunch this weekend.

Overall, this is a huge step up from what I played in 0.98. Animations are sweet, maps (except omaha beach) are really good and I didnt go through any mid round crashes.

Only thing that is negative is the FPS on some maps - we could use some improvements here and there.

But yeah, its pretty good atm.

I played for a couple of maps. Since nothing has changed I feel like the previous feedback obviously needs to be addressed. It's still a whole lot of work that needs to be done for this to be have optimal enjoyment. I'm not exactly sure why people lust for it that much when nothing has changed.

Why is everyone bitching about Omaha almost all the games I play on it the US take most and sometimes all the WN flags and wins a lot if after you cap the beach flags and area attack one end of the map and rush works very well also having 100 more tickets kinda balances it out also at guns don't respawn so it is frustrating for the Germans too.

Perfectly agree also you have 100 more tickets than the Germans

Even with the present bugs\problems in mind, I prefer WW2 because of the setting and the darker, more face to face gameplay.

The grenade on M1 garand after it's launch, somehow drops from the barrel.
This could be reproduced by aiming up and holding left mouse button and after the grenade launches ,a few seconds later release the mouse button.
