For me, it's a game, sometime people making funny jokes make it cooler.
If u think we should all roleplay and everything, it would sucks, It would even come to like : Man u are a Kid, u don't play with us it remove realist!!!!!!!

I am grateful that people use the in-game VOIP, in my opinion it can't get worse than reading some retarded sentence with a totaly lack of punctuation and grammar, NO MATTER how little enthusiastic people are.
Bad VIOP'ing > most people typing. Any day.

Yep, VOIP and Mumble are great, but yelling into the mic and hurting my ears is very very bad...

As long as they dont talk so much needlessly(blocking the air for important messages), Im fine.
Some enthusiasm and humor is a nice bonus, but more important is keeping your messages short, to the point and CLEAR in hectic situations.
But even a bad VOIP is much better than no VOIP

i use as much realism as i need to convey what needs to be said to the rest of the team
half the time im leading a squad theres only like two other people who know what their doing, the rest just slow the squad down or run off, and like sheep i have to round them up again, also im constantly saying, "shoot the marker, we have contacts on that position" with no avail and we just die, also why does nobody say what they are shooting at??!

I dont care as long as they do what they are supposed to (while squadleading). I prefer people with more relaxed tones, personally.

I personally find it more annoying when someone reacts like an excited 12 year old playing cowboys and indians to everything.
Yelling "Grenade!!!" isn't necessary, your microphone generally has problems transmitting sounds that are too loud or breathy. I'm not saying you shouldn't raise your voice a little to alert people or speak quickly, that's what VOIP is for... but some of you guys make me want to lone wolf it, getting all excited and yelling about enemies.
I prefer a very cool-headed approach. You get 6 cool-headed, calm-voiced, mission oriented guys in a squad and things are like clockwork. Get people trying to pretend to be soldiers and yelling and commanders barking orders and people getting upset when orders aren't followed and wasting time yelling at the one guy off doing his own thing? That's chaos I don't need.

In all honestly it's very tricky to come in from a game like battlefield 2 and its modifications or call of duty 4 and behave according to the standards of the serious PR crowd. Calling out contacts, specifying what number, what heading prior to shooting depending on the ROE as set by the squad leader isn't exactly something that comes naturally to your average gamer.
I know what's expected of me in PR but i still fail at it, the whole process of remembering the roe (shoot on contact or not?), taking the heading, distance and number of baddies makes me freeze up more often than not.

Im trying to egt a mic i can talk through. But untill then I just say Hey man I can only hear for right now so bear with me.
Other times I say nothing about hearing and let them say anything they want about me only to tell them at the end I heard what they said. One time somone actually told me they were gay in a 2 man squad. lol

This must be the first case of ingame shellshock ever discovered.

Go all the way! Nothing is more funny than playing with people going all "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH" when the chopper is going down, or shouting "ALLAHU AKBAR!" or "CHAAAARGE!" when you're ambushing someone (over Mumble of course). That's what makes a match awesome, and the reason why I love the Reality Teamwork server.

Yep screaming profanity at the screen when I catch an AA lock, I kinda go overboard sometimes. Especially when I get shot down, its like "MOTHER F*CKING A**HOLE F*CKING *******!" Also I like to go overboard with my lingo, like " We're going to touch and go and fox 4 quadrant 6, do you copy?" I try to stay away from roger that, its not actually used in the military...

Dont mind if people want to roleplay as long as the communication remains good ie. can hear SLs orders. Using the phonetic alphabet is good... People who join my specifically VOIP squad and ignore voice orders are the ones who annoy me and get kicked, and they should communicate a bit at least. Yawning over the mike I havnt experienced once in combat, on a long drive there I wouldn't really mind...

People who say Allah Akhbar every 10 minutes or gloat that they've just taken out one of your teams heavy assets are more annoying tbh.

I find it fun to play with people who role play a little. I wouldn't say going all out like you're trying to win an Emmy, but the game is fun to play with people who put a little emotion in it. So I guess I'm in the middle on this issue.

i dont mind about casual. do i care who you think the newb is or how tired you are or what kind of beer you like...no...
but at the same time it gets on my nerves when somebody is trying to get overly pissy about the orders they want done on a game, tell me what needs to be captured or held and i will try..if you are a moron then no i wont listen.
people roleplaying is kind of outdated, i mean in most online MMO games these days people dont even RP. pretty much what im saying is its a game, and i dont really care im here to have fun and the realism of the game mechanics is what i enjoy not the idiot on mic who thinks this is truly life or death. i keep VOIP muted mostly because either A. you got Sarg. asshat over here commanding his squad to listen or die.... or B. you got skittles the sniper with sever ADD tryin to find his self a new best friend in an online game...
