Snipers should be able to put a squad of guys down at intermediate range without a problem.

I have even stopped using nades to clear bunkers. You throw one in there, wait, wait, wait, (fuse time :p ) then you wait some more untill it blows up, then you go in there and get chopped down by an AK47 on full auto. The guy isnt even coughing.

Or even better you throw it in there and the guy climbes up the ladder and escapes the nade coz the fuse timer is so damn long.

But my personal favorite is when someone throws one into my bunker and i simply walk out and kill him coz hes defenceless while holding the nade and the fuse times is so long that it basically gives me all the time in the world to either find a "safe" corner or simply walk out and kill the guy.
From "Shootout!", episode D-Day Fallujah. This is just a small part from the beginning of the episode. If you don't want to watch the whole thing (you should, it's a good series), watch at 4:00 and forward. That one marine took 2 grenades and but he didn't die.

Ignoring the negative points about 0.8 (all of which I vehemently agree with), I did find that .8 made being a medic a lot more fun. But the thing is half the time at least my squadmates/teammates are completely retarded. Too many times have I died because a squadmate I just revived refused to go under cover from the same enemy the killed him. Too many times have stupid teammates crowded around me and interrupted me healing someone else in order to get healed themselves. And on the other hand, when not playing medic, I've seen a lot of cowardly medics who don't do their job for some inexplicable reason.

Also, people who drive transports and jeeps away without picking anyone else up. Especially on big maps this has caused me to have to quit servers because it was so prevalent and annoying.

Reload times. What the heck?

Here I was: I somehow glitched through a gate into the insurgent spawn area and I began firing. I ran out of ammo... half-way through the reload I look at the animation and saw my guy CALMLY reloading as if he's at the range or something.

So I picked up an AK from a corpse and then ran out and came back to the same issue: long reloading time. I'm playing in a tense situation, while the reloading does not match this situation. I don't like that, it seems out of place.

Suggestions

Obviously one is speed up reload, but how about something more 'fun'?

Follow this:

Reload is default slow as is now. But say you want faster? Tap the RELOAD key multiple times to increase rate. If you tap too fast, you may delay longer the reload. Maybe associate multiple taps of the reload key TO reduced accuracy when you walk.

Like in BF2 if you start walking and firing, the cross hairs open and you won't hit anything. So if you tap too fast or something, you'll miss inserting the magazine properly and have some delay. Maybe it's too complex.

--
The slow reload is okay if you are camping and not in crazy firefight, but in a firefight I'd assume you'd want to reload faster to live.

would you rather get in a squad and stay there or get kicked out of a squad for one of there clan members or friends

if im squad leader and iv got 5 or 6 team members on the server then i will lock my squad to get my guys in once they are all in then i will unlock the squad ,i hate having to kick guys out of a squad so it stops any bad feeling from me and the guy that gets kicked

thats the main reason people lock squads but yea once they have there team in they should unlock it.

PunkbusterB.exe handshake failure. So random.. T&T? Not tonight, buddy. Come back later and we'll roll the dice once again. Thors Muttrah server? Sure, you're always welcome here. You, sir, must be into long-distance-running-games, since you've decided to join a server with only this map. Can I try the other Thors server, please? No. You don't know the secret handshake. Move along.

My single most hated thing is the dramatic reduction in soldier stamina. Seriously, I'm quite overweight and particularly out of shape and my stamina level is about the same as these guys.

Second most hated thing is the changes to sniper rifles. IMO .75 got sniper rifles down pat; now sniper rifles require so much annoying micro and waiting and aquire time that they're quite worthless IMO. Sure, yeah, it's easy to say "oh they just take some skill" and "it's like this in real life" but I'd have to respectfully disagree; the aquire rate is such that it takes several seconds to aquire a target 10m away which is somewhat ridiculous, not to mention the fact that a standard M16 with ACOG or something similar which has a pretty damned good zoom itself is capable of faster aquiring of targets and decent accuracy at long range, which somewhat defeats the purpose of having sniper rifles. I was pretty good with sniper rifles in .75, it took a little while to learn with them, but since .8 I don't think I've made a single hit, let alone an actual kill, with a sniper rifle.

Third most annoying thing is the fact that the deployed machineguns can only be zoomed in and out while in the prone position -- yet there's nothing stopping you from standing up after zooming, in which case you're stuck walking around in zoom with a weapon that can't fire, which has cost me more than a few lives when I needed to get out of dodge. IMO you should only be able to switch to the deployed state while prone, and it should auto-switch to the non-deployed state if you get up -- not sure if that's programmably possible, though.

I'm sorry, I hate snipers in this game, mostly because I think it's a largely useless kit that has very little place in PR... but the changes from 0.75 to 0.8 have made the sniper rifles far more effective... IF you follow the new rules. Here's an example from a 50/64 player server.
