I don't remember the G3 being used that much during 0.5, when insurgent "war veterans2 were armed with one. Most people will choose the AKs as they are more suitable for CQC-combat and ambushes, the kind of tactics insirgent should use if they want to win.

YES!! Claymores!!!

I really wish they more realistic than in 0.5.
We instructed that claymores have lethal range for 75 for the narrow version and 50 for the wider version.

We even tested both of them that we really would believe their leathleness.

In 0.5 I remember I put 3 claymors in jungle centering one position in OGT. Then there comes a squad just where I aimed and triggered the mines. All I saw was some smoke puff and nobody dieing :/

i can only speak for myself when i say that i will NEVER use the g3 over the ak47 cause:

1. 30 rounds > 20 rounds
2. lower recoil (if the properties are kept as they are)
3. the flat sight system will work better with the new deviation (high visability if i lower the sights a bit.
4. the new ak47 sights > the "old" g3 sights (last time i saw it)

The new G3 sights look very similiar to that, just with the front ring being closed. (Of course detail is different, but the visibility is quite similiar)

7.62x51 > 7.62x39
Accuracy of the G3 > Accuracy of the AK47

Every time Marines made it into the city, all the Insurgents started spawning back as War vets, as soon as Facility turned neutral, G3s were flying out of spawn cars everywhere...

After some thought I'd agree that the cell leader should get the G3 to limit it's presence on Insurgent maps.

don't forget, that a skilled player can headshot you even with SKS at long ranges, with the current deviation it's harder, but still possible.
and remember, that ins don't get field dressing nor have medics, so it takes only one shot to make the G3 uber pwner bleed, and then shooting becomes close to impossible because his screen turning all red.
i don't like giving sapper lee enfield but i don't whine about before i try. Seriously, stop arguing because you've already used all of them.

I'll always take the AK over the G3 when playing as insurgents. Never try to get into a long range firefight with the Coalition forces because they will destroy you with ACOGs/SUSATs. I'll just be waiting on the roof or around the corner with an AK or AKS-74 :-P

But note that most players more care about the end result (winning the match) then their score.

I was playing al basra the other day, was a gunner in a humvee, i killed maybe 5-6 civies, and 10minutes later when i died i got 3min or so spawn time, i just went to the frige for some drinks, and my soldier was alredy spawned when i returned. Speaking of that i think that the civie respawn timer needs to be reduced, and penalties increased, maybe after some kills the coaliton guy should be killed by the game.

You won't be able to request kits for 10 minutes and your team will loose 7 intelligence points for every civilian you kill.

But, yeah. A plater that is constantly killing civilians should be killed by the game to simulate an arrest. Quite sure I've heard/read something about this but it's not in the guide.

u can kill a civie afaik if he is in a car or in water.

What sort of mine will the sapper get? Now it looka like a claymore, but will it be an anti-personnel mine? I am really lookin forward to 0.85

In relation to the G3, you could pretend for the insurgents the weapons cache is an analogy for an arms dealer, and when they request kits they are actually buying them.

IIRC, someone made a Russian MON-50 APM (Anti Personell Mine). Are the insurgents using those or the american claymore?

They get a AP IED. Atleast thats what i gathered from the Changelog.

My guess:

The arty IED made by EOD is the big IED. Some small IED is the AP IED. Militia gets the old IED instead of C4.
