hehe, my team just totally owned the enemy, on jabal, on mastuur (extraction ) and on muttrah, nice rounds guys (topcat,coldnovemeberrain, dark ***** and everyone that i forgot )

Yeah, you pwned my team last night. Pity, apart from me and Rage, that hardly anyone on our team knew how to play extraction. The hummers were missing for the entire round. Everytime the SUV spawned there was no backup anywhere in site.

This would make for some excellent games if people knew what they were doing.

WHat has happened - have not seen iGI full for the last 2 days, completely quiet???

I think a load of players have momentarily been playing Company of Heroes online till their eyes and ears are bleeding but they will soon be back

Yeah, I'm up for some PR tonight, hardly played it all weekend. Lets get some good practice in for tomorrows IGI night.

had a real good game on our server yesterday with loads of peeps, to the guys in my squad ( ogSoliderBIA,Combative9,HUMMER87,RingoBIA)

we owned 'em for like 4 rounds so well played! helped me kill some other .:iGi:.'s so i get all the bragging rights!

Just to update y'all.

Our server has been reinstalled today. Hopefully this should help cure the CTDs that a lot of people are reporting. It will be back up later today when I have had a chance to put some maps on etc.

couldnt u guys set pingkick to 300+? i get 260 ping on Igi and i am kicked
on Thors i play with 270 ping with no lag (that's some BADASS netcode)
200 on GH and no lag too

I get lag with anything over 140 so you're lucky if you don't with 270!

whenever Igi server is someway populated you may find some brazilian fellas out there, now :]
i know it sounds like a lie but i really don't lag with 270, my friends too
if i ping 300+ on japanese servers and such, then i have some lagging
i will make sure i dont lag at Igi though (couse i've never had a chance to play on the server)

If high ping does not always mean lag, what causes lag ?
I have the occasional freeze w/1 sec of black screen but there is no pattern to ping or what server i'm in.
I have had really bad lag and my ingame ping is 54 ?
I also have all peripherals shut down, nothing up or downloading and all backgrund tasks turned off.

how much RAM u got?


depends on the map/lighting/textures/view distance etc....

turn textures down a notch for a start.

the other option here could be a GPU problem. I've only ever experienced black screen pauses with a GPU that has overheated and got damaged slightly, that is not being accepted by the pc drivers properly, or by dodgy drivers.

I would recommend you remove your graphics drivers, use the free DriverCleanerPro to remove all evidence of graphics drivers off your system (you'd be amazed what doesn't come off in a standard install that affects your next driver install!) and then install some new drivers, preferably OmegaDrivers if you know what you are doing (and especially if using ATI for the wonderful AtiTool that comes with it enabling easy two click overclocking for those that can set gpu/ram/clock speeds without wetting themselves in nervousness)

I'll try cleaning the area of dust first.
I have a 1gig of DDr ram w/ a 128pic exp graphics card.
My textures etc are all med or low and distance view is maxed.
It could be the heat issue as i have not seen the black screen since the temp in my room is about 63F now.
I will look into the software fixes , thank you

Gotta start going outside the box. vehicles must be used now to encircle troops and lay clays and mines, plus running down those who think wide open spaces are for walking though! Also used for open lanes covering fire.

And enginner/Jihaaad class definitely has something going for it. My kills are normally 40-100% more than my deaths although teampoints aren't high. You can clear routes though for squads to jump into if they are on the ball, "one room clearer coming up!"
