Scenario gametype? Might work very well if scripted events were possible : Crashing chopper after a certain point, etc.

Do want to point out to a lot of folks. 128 players is a ton, and would almost always require 16km^2 maps. Thankfully we are getting more and more of these maps but still.... Also squad dynamics wont change too much now since even if you have a 12 man squad you'll need two IFVs for transport.

Yeah even when the player count drops to 127 and I try to join I'm getting a "can not connect, please check your network connections" message. WHAT GIVES?

It's coded only to give the server is full message when you try to join at the normal player limits such as 64, 32, and 16. When it gives you the message about not being able to connect, it just means the server is full but BF2 is not coded to say server is full after 64.
