ITS FREAKING AMAZING! Keep it up ! Can we expect it for 0.6 ? Or maybe, during the the 0.6 (between the 0.6 and 0.7 realase) its ready and then we play it.

wow. ummm... i was gonna release this on the side. trust me. its nowhere near good enough for PR to consider adding

unless a DEV craps his pants and decides to make it better upon playing it, of course.
and eddie, the second it is on filefront, ill roll over and let you know.
and we can even let the kids play it too. maybe. if they are good to Daddy Okita.... ewww... i gotta stop saying these things. I am a non messed up 19 year old guy.

really? will do. just curious, whats been wrong with them? if you know, i mean, but sure, ill take 'em out.
Oh, and Romagnolo, I kind of misunderstood. But, I am thinking... it will be sometime after .6, but hopefully well before .7. The big thing that I see taking me a long time is getting the map to load and be playable (spawn cars, combat area, spawning weapons(RPG's), preferably getting AI with the help of MacNiell, all .6 things that I do not know much about like inserting the code to allow limited kits to work... all of that i will need to get done before I can be...well... done.)

Limited kits is pretty easy to do, to my understanding it is included in the .init and you have to add 2-3 lines to some .con in your map folders, no biggie.
I say remove them because I heard that they bounce around in the map and stuff... something bad about their collisions I guess...
And think, have you ever seen them ingame before? I haven't.

thanks ty2d2, and Rambo, mac already said over Xfire that he'd be more than happy to do it for me once Im done, so I hope he follows through
Because, if this map doesnt catch on with the PR crowd, im still gonna play it LAN with my friend. Flyin' over the Mog in a black hawk, RPG's everywhere, man... thatll be somethin' else.
Lightmapping (hopefully one thatll look right) is running right now. if it works, ill put some pics up, the city is getting there, made some good progress tonight, but i didnt delete the old lightmapping folder, so it might not overwrite correctly... if it doesnt, no biggie... its not like i NEED the lightmapping correct right now.
fixed the water, imported gulf of omans and tweaked the color a bit, might still work on it...
thats all i can think of. its 12:45 am, i need to get up around 7 or so and shower, so im off to bed.

all the time. trust me, I know how fun it is.

Lightmap seemed to render just fine.
Now to just flush out the city and get spawning/load stuff down.

***edit***
ignore the buildings placed off to the side, im using those to replace buildings that seem too repetitive. I missed some available buildings when starting, so i only used a few to start off with, but now i found more and I am placing them in as a see fit.

That airport layout looks exceptional

how many statics are in it? It looks really nice, not to mention it's your first map

umm airport has... 2 hangers, basketball hoop, several BH's, 2-3 LB's, the Control Tower, several(6?) HMMVs, the tarmac strips, the big plane.. c-something? cargo plane(not 130), a radio antennae or two... or three, walls, a few outposts looking out, and... really thats more or less it. i think some camo netting and crates etc. too...
is there a max limit for statics on maps? i hope not...lol

i was looking at that just a day or so ago. ill get to it. you mean by the lake area? i think there are too many, ill set it as overgrowth and make less of them. keep in mind, that was probably laid out in the first week of my learning to map

yeah really cool...would be nice if you could add a bit of natural elevation change in the city but not critical...just make sure you mess it up real good and add lots of power lines etc.. dirt piles and the work if you know what i mean....

And the K4... hmmm, maybe in a later release, but its really too out of the way to put it in and expect it to be seen much.
And how are the flags in weird spots?? They are in like, the same spot as in real life...!? please let me know so if it is something needing to be fixed it can...
but really, i want it to be all over (especially with AASx2) so that the Marine(rangers) must cross the city.... its supposed to be as close to the real layout, so im not gonna make it one constant front... because it erally wasnt... in between the target and choppers i mean...
