Because IRL the M4 is a Carbine of the M16( shorter barrel, breakable stock etc) and in real life the US Army uses the M4 as their primary weapon. I understand what you are saying, but its real life.

will we see the railing around the outer "Shell" of the Stryker that prevents RPG's from doing extensive damage? Similar to the scimitar... (even though it doesn't help a bit against RPGs in game
)

No country in real life would be stupid enough to replace a main standard assault rifle for a submachine gun or a PDW.

I remember being informed that they do in fact up the armor, as the caged area is given a slightly higher armor value... thats iirc, of course.
I also think I saw in this thread earlier that the cage is being looked into/being worked on, but dont quote me on that.

Right now,I only know of U.S. Special Forces using the HK-416 so,MEC wouldn't have it...I do think they could get some HK33's though...

Norwegian Army uses it (or 417, not sure). US Special Forces have been banned from using it I believe.

The makers of Dragonskin/HK416 didnt ban it. The higher ups in the US Special Forces chain of command did.
Dragonskin wasnt selected because it does rather crappy in extreme conditions if I remember what Kenwayy said.

I'd love to see the HK33 used as the standard MEC rifle, and HK23 for their automatic rifleman. As for the M4 though, I think it's great it's been implemented in the game for the US Army (with the 3-round burst). I just hope, that the M203 grenadier version will be fitted with an ACOG.

the HK33 will never replace the G3, but for one kit, it would be nice (rifleman unscoped)
