But I'd be willing to guess that if you did mate a spec ops model it wouldn't go to waste since each release is still a WIP and spec ops may return, perhaps on spec ops themed maps. (alla BF2-SF-PR)
Can always use it for the spotter kit if indeed such a thing is in the next release.

I can't really talk about this without violating the NDA. Just know that the Special Operations kit no longer exists and there is a new Combat Engineer requestable kit. The Combat Engineer has explosives and mines, but no repair ability (because of the new logistics system). All this information can be found in the 59 pages of hysteria that is the logistics dev journal thread.
You'll find out how many kits there are on Friday

Another brief update:
Will be working on getting the kits into BF Editor this week. .85 did not drastically change kit loads, and the new variety of player models for each team gave me a huge chubby.

Does that also means that they're having new death animations? Because the VBF2 death animations look silly if you ask me.

The death animations aren't scripted, they are ragdoll, like in vbf2

Too bad.

It's hardcoded if it's ragdolls, I assume.

What is it specifically that you don't like? That they just go limp? That they go flying like rockets?

I dunno if its hardcoded, the ragdoll physics themselves are fine, but I never know why the model has to stretch in such in human ways...watch it in slow mo and you'll see.

Well, I don't like it that they 'fly' so much. When you shoot them they suddenly fly back, or their arms will go spinning. I just don't like it. (But I understand the DEV's probably can't do anything about it)

Awesome! I can't wait to see it exported to BF2
Only thin I'd change is move the pistol to the left side, It would be hard to unholster it on the right because you'd have to stick you elbow out so much, although it's really always up to the operator.

Yeah, but if I had it on the left side of the chest, and pouches on the right, it might not be a clean draw.

I've heard that this could help fix the switching bug, is that true?

it hasn't been tested ingame yet dunehunter, but it would seem that this is what you already have ingame and that it therefore wouldn't)

I think fuzz said that because the Russian kit is made up of several nations, the bug happened, so custom geos would fix it.
