Unless you mean for op barra, there is no reason why PLANM would be defending the island against a USMC attack. In fact it would make more seance for the PLANM to be defending the island rather than the PLA.

well at least we got something good out of trying to get this faction on foot, one thing would be the boat which would only need coding basicly, since i got a friend of mine texturing it, could well be used for the pla instead of that lame R.I.B that we got for all factions at the moment. planning on sending the files to Rhino or somebody of that status as soon as textures are done, because at the moment it would just have been wasted effort if it wasn't used.

yes! type 07 ocean camo used by the People's Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps (PLANMC). notoriously hard to find, the store was only able to acquire (smuggle) one out of the mainland and this set is the only one of its kind in hong kong. best of all, its mine!!!!

includes cap! as i later found out, the urban camoflage above is a transitional version. somewhere along the line in 07, production on the real camo was delayed and an identical version made out of really cheap light material with flimsy single stitching used to make up for the shortfall.


this one however, is the real and final deal made out of thicker and more comfortable fabrics and an overall much higher quality even down to the matching buttons with the letters 'PLA' engraved on them.


insignia, note the naval symbolism as unlike the USMC who are a seperate branch of the US armed forces, the PLA Marines are subordinate to the PLA Navy serving as their elite amphibious assault force. as such, the PLANMC is remarkably smaller than its american counterpart composing of only 28,000 troops though this is likely to rise as china begins to take a more active role in international affairs.

so there you go! not sure where i should be wearing this but it sure will be a unique sight in any UK skirmish fields i plan to check out while im at uni. now i gotta get back to packing as my flight is tomorrow! i'll be glad to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.

what I really need is a custom texture for all the middle easy buildings from PR and vBF2.

i know it is a lot, but can you just somehow change the dark and dirty textures to a more light texture?

You mean, using the concept of modular building parts (used on Asad Khal), but for chinese architecture?

sounds good wilkinson, if we got the files for the vehicles heavy was making i might be able to take those up again and finish them for us. secondly we need to get a texture artist of some kind, because we need edited custom pallets and new textures for the PLANM boat (i will try and take the task up but i do not have the oversigt to begin texturing assets properly while having school and 3d task next to that)
