Much appreciated!

Yes, when it dies down, that's fine. Wouldn't want to do it while seeding :D . Also this is something you do when you feel it's right, you don't have to test this before the weekend or anything. Take your time.

Never heard if it ever existed.

It's quite easy to see who switches teams. It's a Python event, "onPlayerChangeTeams()" or something.

Could prevent it from happening by not allowing a player to switch teams when he's in a squad.

A nicer way would be to force resign him. Except, resigning a player is actually teamswitching him twice, so BF2 kicks him out of the squad, sort of. Could try to switch him to the other team, then switch him back, then switch him yet again.

Unsure if that works right. If it doesn't, just prevent a player (or SL only?) to teamswitch when in a squad (by returning false/None and send him a personal message or so).

But be aware that squadbug also happens when the server is still sorting out players, more often then not the squadbug happens when a player makes a squad but is transferred by the server to the other team, or the server itself still has to swap teams(which isn't instant).

Tried that on our end, didn't do anything, we had to use the resign command to fix it, very weird.

Is it possible to log squads being made/names though?

Hey I don't know if this is the right spot but I was on the server Free Candy Van (Los Angeles) and I joined the transport squad, got my pilot kit, and got in a huey. A few people got in and I started to take off but then I had massive desync/lag and almost crashed but I regained control, but they had already jumped out and began shooting at me yelling "That's the guy." or something, it seemed to me on my screen I landed but next thing I knew I hit some guy and went flying into the ocean, and before I knew it I was banned. When I try to rejoin it says I was banned for excessive teamkilling. Is there anyway I can be unbanned? It was simply a lag problem and I'm not sure it was excessive teamkilling when it was one guy and an accident. Thanks.

With all due respect, I tried playing in there tonight and and over the past few days and I noticed a few things:

1. 0 Teamwork
2. 1-manning vehicles is encouraged
3. Admins actively encourage anti-teamworkism (Yes, that's a new word :P )
4. You can't make complaints or the admins will threaten/kick/ban you
5. The server is entirely Drakelings (Kiddies who watched Drake's YouTube vidoes and decided they want to play Vanilla BF2 in PR)

I sincerely hope this is just one or two of the admins that are/aren't doing these things. Everyone flocks to only the top few servers and this is always populated so I hope you guys can get this stuff sorted out or it will have lost ANOTHER serious player.

Why are you concealing your identity? We take all constructive criticism so long as it is serious.
1. Teamwork has nothing to do with the server itself, it has only to do with the players.
2. 1-manning vehicles is not encouraged, at least not by the server admins.
3. No server admins discourage teamwork
4. Most of our admins are laid back, and if they threaten to kick/ban you, you must have fucked up real big or they are just joking.
5. The server is not entirely drakelings, we have different groups play on our server. ]CIA[, prWARS, [TZ], =]H[=, [PRTA] etc

I'm not going to take your post seriously, your name is why. I see zero common sense in you.

Perhaps that's why people are complaining?

According to one of the admins, you're allowed to 1-man humvees and any other light assets. Is this true? If so, perhaps that rule could be reviewed as it contributes to a lack of teamwork in the server.

I got a serious admin abuse minutes ago, I was about filling a complaint on the FCV forums but it is yet too messy and it lacks a proper area for that.

We were playing on Wandashan and there was an inefficient commander on the Chinese team, he was messing around on the field and people were complaining that he was not on the UAV. He then got resigned by the admins and I left my squad to be a commander after it; I applied, got accepted by the game and then started to walk towards the base to reach the UAV station. After ONE MINUTE AND A HALF that I was walking trying to find a vehicle to get back to base, an admin called teK resigned me. I asked why he did that, he said that I was not on the main base and I then explained that I've just joined the command (he freaking knew that!). 30 seconds later after resigning me, he applied to be a commander himself.

I told him that it was bullshit and abuse, plus I'd tell Brennan about this bad admin behavior -- he kicked me from the command post because he wanted to be a commander himself. He replyed "if you want to report me, then get actual shit to do that". I said I would not discuss it ingame and I would go on forums (all the "discussion" took only 3 lines) after this he KICKED ME from the server.

Despite problems with ]CIA[ Brennan had, we were always cool with each other and he even issued me a reserved slot a while ago, so nothing against him or the server itself. I think he just needs to look better for his admins.

U should of suicided. Then u have been in the command post before he resigned u. maybe he acted in the best interests of the team.
