I lol'd so hard.
I'd like some enthusiasm from my squad and people saying Allahu Akbar or Takbir etc but sadly I can't do that when my parent's room is 5m away from mine and they're asleep while I play.

If you want to keep that surpressive fire up it takes a lot of yelling.

I really don't care as long as the information needed gets through.

Role-playing's definitely too geeky for my taste... I guess I probably show about the same amount of enthusiasm as I would playing paintball.

We have these 2 Chinese brothers who always join my squads, they crack me up. They speak good English, but get way too serious lol. 'Enemy northwest' turns into 'We have a solid contact on enemy position northwest 200m punch out do you copy?', just can't stop laughing when they say it.

The whole realism thing is fine alot of the time but its just easier to be relaxed and hold the whole radio formalities thing.

Stay frosty is actually pretty good even though its been beaten within an inch of its life by MW2 and Generation Kill  , it can be practical sometimes.

I'm normally pretty harsh on my squad as SL, now that I look at it. If you've ever been in my squad and I was SL, you've heard me just destroy some idiot blabbering during a fire-fight.

I reserve VOIP for tactical communication, and I use mumble for everything else. I've kicked people for being generally retarded and blabbering on their mic in VOIP after being told to "Cut the chatter".

IMHO, you need VOIP in order to alert your squad to danger, and give clear directions. If your chattering and suddenly a Rifleman spots and enemy squad, you NEED TO KNOW RIGHT THEN, not 20 seconds later when your pushing up daises.

Using Voip is essential to fully appreciating and excelling at the teamplay that PR offers. Communication between squad members and in some cases between other squads is essential to full filling the aims of the round.

We use it for tactically moving the squad, spotting the enemy and bringing weapons to bear, calling out distance and direction. We use TS to combine two squads, one covering whilst the other advances or retreats from an objective.

Check out *NwA*'s server, for good teamplay rounds.

I usually just talk like it's an airsoft war: tell people to do stuff properly, say "I'm hit" instead of the role-playing "Ahh im hit!", otherwise just talk like the dudes in my squad are my friends.

Role play as in showing some give-a-shit, yes, but not in terms of addressing each other formally or some rubbish like that.

Screaming loudly is good though.

I'd like something like if someone checks a space then they would say like "Clear!" but that rarely happens..
