I'd also like to suggest you add in the green rule messages to your new 24/7 kashan server. Stuff like "Heavy assets belong to the specifically named squads" "No firing in mains" "No stealing assets" "No general squads like Armor, Air, etc" etc

I get sick of telling the tank squad they shouldn't be in APCs, when they'll just reply with "Well there are no tanks" It's only when an admin demands they conform, does anything ever happen. It's especially annoying on kashan, since the squad that dies first is rewarded with the backup assets of the squad that didn't die.

All too often you see the tank squad rush out with 3 tanks, get them blown up, respawn at main and grab the APCs that the apc or mechanized inf squads haven't used yet, rush back to where they just got owned in tanks, and try to fight with APCs. Then they respawn and take the AAVs or log trucks. It always ends up with half the team sitting at main waiting for every asset to respawn.

Mojo... I have to say I think your splitting hairs here to make your argument valid. At three grids from the US main the A 10 would barely have a chance to get airborne.

In the sense of fair play you shouldn't have been anywhere near it.(Use your head and behave in the spirit of fair play.) It's the last line of the rule you quoted.

You should have been helping your team take/defend flags and taken your shot at the A 10 from the battlefield instead of camping the flight path 3 grids from the main base.

Your post says you were kicked twice for it, why do it again after the first time?

Your tactics are questionable at best but I'll check the logs and BR to see what actually went down.

Next time you have an issue please post it on our forums.

You think you get tired of telling players what to do in regards to assets? Try being an admin for a day.

On a final note if you ever talk to my admins like that again you won't be playing on any of our servers. It was beyond "a little harsh" as you put it.

First of all the comment wasn't directed solely at your admin, it was directed at all the people in the global chat who were all giving contradictory information about the rule, and half of them telling the admin to ban me. I swear a lot in my daily life, I was a little pissed off, so i spoke my mind.

If 1 grid squares isn't enough room, change the rule. When I learned of the rule, I figured like your insurgency server, you accepted limited amounts of baserape.

It might have even been earlier in that round, when i saw people on the other team complaining about some AA base raping them, and then other people told them about the 1 grid rule. So i looked where the guy was, and used that spot later on. And got kicked for it.

When i read that bit about fair play, i think not dropping bombs from 2 grids away that will end up hitting the main base tanks, or blind firing AA missile towards a carrier, or firing hellfires at markers in the mains, stuff like that.

The reason i wasn't with my team, and went off on my own hunting aircraft, was the fact that our whole team was either sitting at main, or running around at bunkers. We had pretty much no armor left. And I don't really like cruising around the battlefield in an AAV without a tank or apc escort. Especially not in the mec aav, while they have bradleys, abrams, humvees, aavs with guns, etc. We were losing pretty badly.

Why was i kicked twice? Because i rejoined and asked about the rule that I broke. I was kicked a second time with a message about reading the rules at the website.

My tactics may be questionable, but i only employed the tactic after hearing of your 1 grid square rule.

We'll review a few things for you badmojo420. Not just the chatlogs, but the rule itself. It's our intent to keep the spirit of gameplay alive on our 24/7 Kashan server. You feedback is appreciated because this is a new server for us. I believe the intention was there in the rule to prevent players from camping take-off/approach of aircraft, but it could be worded a little differently to make things clear. We'll take a look at it.

I've been recentely playing quite much on the new Kashan 24/7 and now I've started to feel/see that you need more admins to play on that server too.

A few examples: (I won't include any names unless you want to take measures)

A guy rammed my transport chopper with an APC because I kicked him out from the transport squad to make room for a better guy

A guy spammed the teamchat, and I'm not joking, for 20-25mins by asking an invite to squad. "OPEN SQD LET ME IN PLS" like so, every 10 secs and the tone later turned to aggressive against some players.

Oddly, during these occasions, there were 2 guys from =]H[= on the other side but no interest to do anything even people reported about them.

I like the server, but get some admins from Insurgency/Hardcore to play there too, keep it up

Agree they do need more admins on at times. But the clan has a vent open to the public, look at their website for details. If you find a problem on the server hop on vent, and ask for an admin.

And the public players can also help reinforce the rules, even if it doesn't always work. I find myself trying to enforce rules sometimes, and if my comp wasn't so shitty i'd minimize to hop on vent if I really had a problem.

With the opening of our new servers ( we now have 5 ) our admins have been stretched pretty thin. Unfortunately players treat the Kashan server like it's training. Watching this server is a full time job. We will be adding new tactics to help try and get this server "cleaned" and *** hat free. Stand By

If you have names of players who continually act like an *** and ruin game play please post on our forums or PM any of us here. We will take care of any problem players after the fact if necessary. If you can grab a screen shot to back it up, that's even better!

Like K4153R_J03 said, the best way to get an admin is in our vent channel. I suggest anyone using our servers join the vent channels, you'll have instant access to admins.

Thanks for the input.

I've been playing on your insurgency server for Allah only knows how many hours and I have to say that great majority of the time it has been great fun. There has been a couple of bad rounds every now and then due to some asshats (it's always The Other Guy  ), but after some cooling time and a little break, the good memories always win and I have to get back.

Thank you for your great server and see ya thru the crosshairs!

Great to see one of the larger PR communities finally trying to adopt Mumble on their servers! Just need VOIP working on the AAS Mumble server as Mumble doesn't have a radio or whisper function. Also need VOIP for those pesky enemies listening in on your location. I joined a squad where typing was preferred so we could listen for the enemy. :(

VOIP should be used 95% of the time still. Remember if its green use VOIP, if its blue use Mumble. ;-)

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments, we're in the middle of a complete overhaul. We've moved to a dedicated box. Mumble AAS and INS. 2 regular servers (voip) a 24/7 Kashan and a retro map server. We've had some problems, voip for one, this wasn't left out on purpose, not showing up on the server list is another example. We're working on it and hope to figure it out soon, hang in there!

This seems to be resolved. I saw all 5 servers on the list without a problem. I did a double take when I saw the 24/7 Muttrah server!  :D
From all the Muttrah City v2 lovers out there... thank you!

Poor adminstration by bob something... the guy kicked me because i wrote ONE phrase on the all chat encouraging nonmumblers to download mumble, since like 1/6 of the players were on mumble, and it was a mumble dedicated server.

If that's not the case, remove the "mumble" from the server's name. Or remove that poor admin....

was also kicked by the same person by accidently injuring him at the start of the round when I took off in a bike. Everyone was crowded, it was clear and then he walks in front and we ALL KNOW how hard the bikes are to control. He let himself bleed out then when he bled out and I got a tk he booted me....

Admins blinded by the power of a server rcon must quit monitoring every word on the chat or taking it personal TKs. He must act like just another player ingame.
The game has an all chat. Accept it. Kicking for flood or for calling names is one thing. The reason i was kicked for, is RIDICULOUS.

I encouraged people using mumble.
This bob guy shushed me "You're not the admin, so shh."
What he wanted back? Flowers?
I didn't even know he was an admin. Either way, i didn't call him any names, i said i was encouraging because it was a mumble server.
Then, kicked.
Really, really unfortunate.

Running a mumble server is a whole load of new work for admins - give the HOG guys a chance to get used to it. Having popular servers like HOG pushing Mumble will seriously help mumble spread through the PR community.

Kicking a mumbler trying to get others to use mumble doesn't help much with spreading it, although i'm happy we have another mumble server. Although this above episode, that's a great job guys.

Crying about being kicked doesn't belong here. If you wanna cry bring it to our website and we'll address it. You won't get anywhere here. By the way, not following an admins direction is definitely grounds for a kick ( at least ) Doesn't matter what you were trying to accomplish. Admins blinded by power, I F'n love that statement.

"Just a quick note to everyone:

The Project Reality forums are not to be used as a platform for users to rant/debate being kicked or banned from game servers.

If you are banned for not following a servers rules or server administrators orders and would like to protest or express your feelings on the matter, do so on the corresponding clans/squads website, not here.

This will not be tolerated and can result in your Project Reality forum account being banned."

From the moment i get kicked for a stupid reason, you could suppose i wouldn't mind going after your server's forum/create account/complain and probably not be listened. At least here more people will see it, it's more transparent.
You say i won't get anywhere around here. I disagree, at least here a great deal of pr players will know what's going on on this server adminstration, and i think it's important for everyone to know. On your forums, only you would know about it, and probably wouldn't give a shi*.

And you guys show well how you treat the players, not only kicking for stupid reasons, but using the term "crying" here, like you did, for an example. That's really mature..... How about complaining, in my right to? When you use the term "crying" you clearly are not giving a shi* about what i have to say, and that's good actually, because the stupid kick i got gets explained in some way. Unfortunetaly, opposed to what i hoped, it seems it wasn't a 'one admin problem'.

Use the right words, do the right administration, then get respect.

To the adminstration of this forum, sorry for the posts on the wrong place.
