A firebase in a stupid position doesn't benefit the team.

While I understand that PR is a team effort, and I could care less on how many kills that I get in a round, the kill counter gives me the ability to shoot an enemy, and be able to check and make sure that he died and not wonder for the next few minutes if he's just going to sneak up and shoot me in the ***.

Not that I am too much for soloing and lone-wolfing, but I wouldn't remove the scoreboard/kill list. This is a FPS, and most people play for kills. Sometimes you need to teamplay to get kills, so people use TW. Now, don't expect that by removing the kill counter(forever, or just until the round end) you will turn all/most/over 50% of PR players into persons who would rather take a logi truck and make FOBs than an RPG7 tandem or a LMG. You have to remember that most PR players play for fun, not especially for TW or anything else. Some have fun in building FOBs and assets, I'm sometimes that person. But on the otherhand, I won't give up killing for TW or building stuff.

---Summary---
Removing the kill counter will not have an important effect on the gameplay in favor of TW, instead it would make PR a little more boring/anoying.

About that: a FOB is a place that enables people to not waste their time, in this already advanced walking simulator, by not walking from main to the battlefield  , . I don't mind digging a FOB and defending it, because when the enemy attacks the FOB, things get funny, especially with HMGs and Pilboxes.

yes but a firebase like in muttrah in a/b - 2 is always making me rage about that squadleader.
it might be shorter to the city but not later than when 2 squads are coming out of the mountains some tow or hmg or btr will have spotted them and just keep camping that spot cause the crew knows that there is again some noob firebase and when someone spawns there he will have to walk through nearly flat terrain without any cover untill he reaches north city.
its just stupid.

I think removing it is a good idea and would add to the reality of the game.
While I understand that PR is a team effort, and I could care less on how many kills that I get in a round, the kill counter gives me the ability to shoot an enemy, and be able to check and make sure that he died and not wonder for the next few minutes if he's just going to sneak up and shoot me in the ***.
That is exactly why you should take it off in my opinion. In real life you cant tell if you neutralized an enemy from far away unless you can confirm the bodies. It would just add to the realistic gameplay and atmosphere if it were taken off. This could change the gameplay for good or bad but in my opinion this is a good suggestion and I say Yes!

Interesting pole, really.

I voted for End of round only . This mainly since it boosts the realistic feel, since IRL you'd only confirm 'kills' upon close examination of a body (I presume). Actually, I think this would make the game more exiting, as more players would focus on searching attacked areas, never knowing if the attack was a success until you'd confirm the kills yourselves. Great!

At least somebody listened to my thoughts on this, or so it

I have also one idea. Peoples tend to check from the killcount have they killed the enemy thath was hiding behind wall etc. I think there should be atleast 5 min delay from the spawn of the killed person to the kill to be shown on killcount.
Peace

Or maybe make it so the kill will pop up, but the enemies name will never go black from him currently being dead.

Remove kill counter and points. Becoase from points you can see etc:

Really some guys know those points thath good.

Very true. Few months of playing and you can usually easily tell how many FOBs they built, who is who (for example apc driver), who is dead (gray name), etc.

Works better than any recon. :P

i would welcome something that prevents me from pulling up the scoreboard every now and again (something i cannot help doing!). that's more time to be looking at the map or checking my surrounds.
The Kill to death ratio for your squad being posted would actually be pretty good. I bet platoons/squads in the armed forces have kdr which is noted along with other performance.

Whata brilliant idea.. I haven't got a calc, but added up it would appear the vast majority here are in favour of removing it until at least the round ends/removing the personal score making it Squad score.
