Re: [List] 'oh ****' moments
Few nights ago on TG on Karbala, was preforming my normal "drive around the outskirts of the city looking for Caches" routine (Pretty much I drive by the B3 Complex, the warehouse, and the A7 village trying to get shot by RPGs) with my squad. At the time we only could get a squad HMMWV (unarmed). We were driving back from the A7 village after finding no caches.
Feeling relatively safe as a new cache had just been found on the map, we started driving up the 1-column the get to the known location. On the way there we pass about 5 feet next to a white car idling in the middle of the desert. Right then and there, i nearly sh** myself. Flooring it as we could not defend ourselves except firing our M4s off the back of the HMMWV. Trying to shake the car off of our tail, I drove out of bounds thinking we'd be able to get back inside the combat zone without risk. When I tried to drive back in around the B3 complex the ground glitched out underneath us and we flipped like 3 times (apprently doing a barrel roll doesn't always help XD) I feel like that insurgent had some epic lulz from watching us.

Re: [List] 'oh ****' moments
Can't remember map name - sorry new haven't memorized the map names
My squad had left our position on top of a farmhouse to go and engage targets in the small village North of us. After getting everyone regrouped at a small house that was across the street, we proceeded north into the village. Having small firefights over berms and an occasional well aimed bullet land around us, it was decided the main road was a "Not Bad" route. Suddenly we saw a HAMAS troop run to a berm that was in front of us (There was a berm in the middle, and it was a field) we suddenly all dropped down and then the squad leader peeked over our dirt berm and he quickly crawled back to report 14 HAMAS troops on the other side. Our squad was lucky, 5 out of the 6 people in the squad had Automatic Riflemen kits (We were scrapping the bottom for ammo on our way in to the area, we had to be careful to inventory all kits of the dead soldiers we came across and utilize their kits as much as we could). We all set up and then massed our commo rose commands, then opened fire. We wounded some and killed many of them, it was a very good surprise to them. The squad leader ordered me to run back to a house in back of us and get the kit with the grenade launcher, so I ran back, grabbed it, then ran back to see two of my squadmates dead. The squadleader told me to shoot some 40mm's across and try and suppress the enemy. I listened to him, firing a couple shots, when then the squad leader interrupted me to instead order me to flank to the right. I crawled out of the HAMAS troops line of sight then jumped up and started to flank through the small village that had our flank. I found a troop there on a roof - with a dragunov. I killed him, then moved on. I peeked around the corner, a clear line of sight to shoot a grenade into the mass of HAMAS troops, killing the two squads of them (I noticed there was more than a squad there) and I went to shoot - click - my grenade launcher was empty. I was shot, but only wounded I knew it was bad because I couldn't sprint. I told my SL what happened. Then I peeked back around the other side of the building I was behind to see my squad bum rushing the HAMAS's troops. Two OH ****'s there.

Re: [List] 'oh ****' moments
Back when I first got the game I was playing the normal mode, I got stuck up on a roof in strike at karkhan by the train derailment for about 10 minutes with one health, taking head shots with a pistol and at one point I shot a grenade into the open part of a captured humvee. And ironically I died when I slipped off the ladder to get supplies.
Maybe two days later I was playing 64 player on the Dam level and I got into the cobra and flew into the pipes of the dam and hid there inside the helicopter. Heehee that was funny.

Re: [List] 'oh ****' moments
I had quite an amusing "Oh ****" moment on Al Basrah just the other day.
I was on the insurgents side. I was standing on a rooftop south of the slums with my binoculars out. I was observing a very large Firebase set up by the British in the F8 bridge area. I was observing from a safe distance (perhaps 300+ meters). I was basically watching the activity and relaying information to my squad through VOIP because they were not anywhere nearby. My "Oh ****" moment came about 10 minutes of observing.
As I said the Firebase was very large and likely had up to two infantry squads with the amount of soldiers running around not to mention some armored vehicles. I know I had been spotter because a few times the APC's fired on me but didn't necissarily take time to aim very well.
Speaking to my squad, my report went something like this. Everything was said casually without any real change in tone or excitement.
"Okay, looks like we have two warriors... there may be a scimitar behind the berm... Theres quite alot of infantry, at least ten, possibly two whole squads... They have a TOW on the road and its manned... Uhhh both MGs are manned... Now they're building an AA... And a grenade just landed on the ground in front of me..."
BOOM.
After that I was met with the hysterical laughter of my squadmates.

Re: [List] 'oh ****' moments
Nearly fully loaded Blackhawk + minigun bug.
Nuff said.
Ok I'll tell more. It was on Kashan last week. The squad I was in was in the blackhawk along with a co-pilot. We're heading to south village (I think that's the name) or south bunker, I don't remember. Anyways one of our squad members fires the minigun over enemy territory, causing our pilot to die and our blackhawk started losing control, luckily there was a co-pilot waiting to take over the controls. We crash landed but he minimized the damage the b-hawk would have taken. We were smoking but not too bad. We got to our destination safe and sound other than the pilot who died from the bug.
Everybody in our squad was like "Oh ****", "oh s***", "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO", "WTF?", etc.

I was just about to take off in a Trans Huey on Muttrah, fully loaded with a squad to reinforce the defence of docks, cobrah was rearming, I lagged and we lost two helicopters and a squad. And the game.

Whenever I find myself getting on a bike on Al Basrah... it ALWAYS ends badly! Even now when I can actually drive it reasonably well. Other maps = fine, Basrah = death trap.

Kozelsk, Tactical-Gamer.
Our squad just took out a whole squad of rebels in a bunker and i found a kit with Arty-IED.
I noticed it wasn't in the kit anymore so I thought it was a smart move to blow it up before they retake the kit.
So I took out the phone....clicked and....
NyteMyre [Teamkilled] Tank Driver
NyteMyre [Teamkilled] Tank Gunner
Turned out the Arty-IED was right under our tank that was about 100m away from us. The whole rebel team laughed and one even screamed: "BAN HIM!". So i quickly retook my specialist kit and said i didn't do anything.... (bad lie, but i was a bit too ashamed at the moment to say i blew it up with the arty-ied-kit i found)

^ - Ha ha. Bad luck mate.
I learned the hard way that you NEVER detonate an arty IED kit you just find. One of those mistakes you have to make yourself though
***
Hell he's my 'oh ****' moment:
So, gaza beach a few weeks ago. I set up a line of highly conspicuous mines on the L-shaped earthen pier, just down from the cache. This cuts off the whole area from vehicles. But 5 metres infront of the mines I hide an arty IEd on both sides of the road. Then I wait...
Half an hour later a merkava drives right up to the mines, stops infront of them and just looks around. I pop up from my hiding spot and tell my squad "Watch this!" Then boom! No tank just smoke and debris. However in the panic of getting out my phone to detonate the IED's I must have dropped another arty IED near the cache. So after swapping out for my SL kit then back to the combat engi I think "Who used my arty IED?" - Lets find out. So I detonate it. TK my whole Squad, the cache and a couple of blues.
Never felt more foolish

Nooooo!!! This just happened right now!
I was playing on USMC at Fallujah West on a crazy race to punch a collaborator... after chasing him for like 7 blocks, he got tired and exactly at the moment I reached him:
PUNCH <yeah! I got him>

Just had one now. Playing PLA on Baracuada, when US attacked. We held our own till CAS happened and then choppers followed. As the huey flew overhead, i shot the pilot and killed him; however, he was hovering over me and..... CRUNCH!

Re: [List] 'oh ****' moments
It just happened. I can't remember the server but I had just joined a squad and asked the heuy to take me to the location. While he was doing this he began to flip the copper upside down etc. I wanted to take a screenshot. Now my button is shift+e. I went to press it and it turned out I didn't have xfire on so I fell to my death. I left the game in shame
