I do not suggest playing on HOGS servers. After taking a 3-4 month break, I fired up PR today joined 24/7 HOG Muttrah, and within 5 minutes, **** was just like it use to be when I left.
22v22, squad 2 was led by HOG Mr.Clean, alone in a locked Huey squad. I asked him several times if he would unlock Huey squad.... no reply. I waited roughly ten minutes.... waited for him to land, asked again. After being ignored over 15 times..... and ten minutes I made my own Huey squad because there were several request for crates/transport and Mr. Clean could not keep up. I am not a noob pilot and have flown since PR came out.
I was immediately kicked for making a 2nd Huey squad. Well maybe if the idiot would unlock his squad and quit hogging 4 helicopters people wouldn't have to make other squads.
Just want to say HOG does the same **** they always do, hoarde vechicles, treat others like ****, and play favoritism games.
Well scree HOG and see ya on the ]CIA[ Servers, they are much better.
P.S- After reading some previous pages, I found MANY other people experiencing the same thing.... Admins sitting solo in Huey squads..... Seems to me they do this on purpose to bait people so they can use admin powers.
In my experience, when the server is full, the USMC needs can be met by 2 pilots. Often times when I fly (especially after the first FOBs are built) the lull in action for a huey pilot is nearly unbearable. (The majority of SLs, myself included, do not use the huey sq to there full potential.) That said, if I am the SL of the huey sq, I keep the sq to 2 pilots. I never consider "how many helicopters are on deck".
In regards to my standard of 2 huey pilots, allow me to explain. If there are more pilots than needed, am I not doing a disservice to the rest of the team? Shouldn't I as a SL be willing to put my foot down when I feel it's best for the team? I understand PR is a game, something we do for leisure. However, this game (I feel) has a heavy emphasis on teamwork. With teamwork in mind, shouldn't we the player, be willing to what's best for the team as a whole? If you can not fly (for a number of reasons; joined mid-way through the round, someone made the sq before you, etc...) perhaps joining an infantry sq and running the medic kit or riflemen kit best suits the need of the team. Our server runs Muttrah 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are always more opportunities to fly
I think if you took the time to meet us, you would not think so harshly of us. We encourage public players to join us in vent. We welcome it. I understand it can be upsetting to be on the receiving end of a kick/ban. I can tell you, that our admins (I am not an admin) generally do not like to kick/ban people. I have never seen on our forums or heard in vent an admin boast after having kicked/banned someone. I have however, seen public players thank our admins after removing a disruptive player. That last statement is not leveled at you Swatius, rather an illustration of how players appreciate fair play for all.
I would encourage anyone, who feels disgruntled after having been kicked/banned or having had this happen to them in the past join us in vent. If you see me in vent, put my name in your comment (BucNasty00). I promise that I will stop playing, to assist you (the gamer) in getting answers. Whether the question be regarding a ban, explanation of the rules or better yet, if you just want to join our vent to meet the "villains". As a disclaimer, I am not an admin. So I will have to do some running around in order to find the most correct answer to whichever question is asked.
I apologize for the lengthy text, I did not set out to write a novel.

Ultimately what I'm trying to say is, consider the big picture. What's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander. Understanding the rules of the =HOG= server is one of many steps to having a successful and enjoying round of PR.
Here is a link to the server rules:

Again, any questions please please please (!!!!!) stop by our vent. I'm a game addict, I'm almost always online. (Our vent info can be found on the left side of the page after clicking on the above link)
