You must mean Variation of Available maps, gotcha.

Post on our site so most of our guys can see this, they don't listen to me anymore, maybe they will listen to a loyal pub.

Why are you guys doing 2 AAS and 2 INS? I thought the map vote was there for people to pick what they want.

I thought the same thing...but thoughts don't matter, do they?

CIA is no longer a democracy, so be careful what you say.

I love the server it because it is the best replacement for the dead TG server. Good admins, good maps, and good teamwork. But there is one fatal flaw, the actual server quality is horrible! The server crashes so much and everyone is forced to play Kokan. Why does the server crash so much?

We changed it too 2 AAS 2 INS due to many complaints about the same maps and modes being run 24/7. And Ace, wth? "so be careful what you say." What are you on about...

Well, freedom of speech is usually the first to go in non-democratic forms of governance, I just thought I would point out some possible characteristics of our paradigm shift.

...for the record, I don't like it.

And as the CIA thread would show, neither do alot of other members.

I'd be curious as to know where exactly these complaints are coming from. If anything, Insurgency maps (Kokan and Fallujah specifically) are being played in droves. As I mentioned in the above link AAS is refreshed practically every game due to routes. If too many maps are being played, supplement them with others. Mapvotes are the way to go, and if an Executive thinks that 24/7 AAS is an A+ idea he should be listened to.

The democracy part is not a problem, the problem is that the same few maps get picked for a map vote.

Well what I noticed is that people say a couple of maps that haven't been played for long and the admin includes them in the map vote, people vote for it and then when the map starts, the server empties... I don't know if it's a troll conspiracy or not but on CIA it seems that the big maps do actually keep the server full which I like. Oh and to all those who complain that Insurgency is not played that often, well.. usually map votes are like AAS:35 INS:4 so, yeah don't wonder why it's not played. I think it's much better to respect the votes, atleast when the difference is so big.

Also I like the server and it seems it's not crashing that often anymore. +1 for supporting the soundmod too :)

So you're saying you allow racism on your server?

Presently, yes.

It can only go so far as to "not disrupt Gameplay"

If it goes that far, let an admin know, and I am sure the offender will be taken care of.

The reason it is allowed is because it is an American server that is supposed to allow free speech, but not remove fun from the game, hence the "Disrupting gameplay" part

saXoni, we are not racist, it is a free speech server, that means say what you want but as soon as an idividual takes it too far and disrupts gameplay for another person, then the admins act, the admins have their discretion to rule what is disrupting and what is not. Remember they are there to play as well not babysit.

When I play in a squad, I tell people to not say such stupid things, but if they want to say it, they can.

I refuse to censor

However, if a player is offended, and it disrupts their enjoyment of the game, in the same way a griefer or a smacktard would, I will be more than happy to warn and/or remove that player, including Anti.

All right.

How is that relevant? This is about racism and the administrators tolerance.

I am a fan of the server since it really is the only US server populated. However, the quality of admin's is horrible. I keep hearing of this 'Admin Course' and how it's suppose to help but honestly, if you already doing it, it's impossible to tell. Some admins are kicking for stupid reasons not even related to the rules. Just seems like they are making up random reasons because they have a grudge against someone. Please fix.

I started doing admin courses about 2-2.5 years ago, and I haven't done a proper course for about 1.5 years.

So, no one is really getting the knowledge they need to treat players with respect and to not sweat the small stuff, including insults other negative comments directed towards the admins.

Soon young grasshopper, soon, I will soon be teaching again.

nice to see some good feedback for once. Superhornet, it is hard for me to teach them since I am extremely busy. Ace will do it or teach me the PROPER way to do it. We are working on it. Have patience. The CIA community leaders are very busy with RL things at the moment but we are taking your feedback into consideration. I get about 2-3 PMs a day about things like this, maps etc.

It's a very good server, but will be much better when there won't be 2 Ins 2 AAS maps order, would be much better if the map will be according to the vote, most ppl vote for AAS, INS barely gets some votes and when it does, then INS it is.

Quite frankly, it is our server, so when we want to play INS we will.

However, that isn't to say we won't listen to you, we just won't listen to you all the time.
