Lol, I caught the joke yesterday with the first people after thinking about it. This pretty sums up the devs' minds

I admit.. had me fooled as it was March 31st in the afternoon when I seen the news post.. I was excited about BF3 as our clan has whined about no mod tools.. but disappointed about no 128-player support on BF2 servers.

So, again, I am disappointed and happy, about the news.. no BF3 support, but there will be Arma 2 and 128 player support

About that 128 player support thingy, I haven't hear about that, is that all trolling too or did you actually do that?

Hah, this was a laugh. I kept my mouth shut this time around; had plenty of feet in my mouth last April Fools when Vietnam was announced...

Not just been tried, but there is a test server regularly populated for it.

If any of you think this joke was a little too hurtful, you should have seen what the site for NationStates did. The fake hacking had one guy threating legal action!

But to honest this wasn't much of a funny joke, more of a trick really. A new map where Canada invades D.C. would have been funny (even if fake). A crazy new faction would have worked too (Klingons anyone?).

But as I was saying, I didn't think that made sense, because I thought I had read that EA could take over all BF2 mods whenever they wanted (so there would be no "acquisition", just, well, taking )

I simply don't believe anything anyone tells me on March 31st and April 1st. It's actually hard to believe people are so easily fooled on April 1st.

lol some people post like they matter. Fact is we don't. we're just players who stumbled upon a good mod made by enthusiastic people who put a lot of work into something they give out for free. So what if they decided to use those skills to get a real job and make better for themselves?

besides its like they didnt even read through the entire op. PR2 work was to gear up pretty much immediately, where's the bad in that?

With co-op mod there are few maps only. Are there a way to get extra maps in v0.96??????

Just joking. But only a few like me actually read the signs and interpreted them logically with a clear "this is a April Fools joke". My disbelief wasn't specifically targeted at the ones scratching their heads over this, but rather the ones that got upset over it.

Honestly, I don't even think the DEVs were really trying...

They could of closed the Arma and Vietnam forums temporarily. The first page announcement could of sounded more "I hope you really understand" rather than "we're happy and getting paid so who cares?". Arma2 cancellation and some other stuff was hard to believe, the very least they could of said that they were restructuring the team with R-CONs and other community members to conclude those projects. DEVs could of make members understand why they had to do this instead of drunk sounding posts and even HELPING right after the announcement.

I'm pretty sure they were just as amazed as me in how many people fell for this. So yeah, I do think I have to right express my feelings toward most of the community like this:

Do some fricking work instead of wasting time on april fools thingy, its time to post up something about for exampel vietnam mod etc.

You just delayed PR:Vietnam for another three months.
