Yea Im not sure it'll be as fun as it sounds. Plus if you want this feature to really work you'll need to hide the chat, and this may cause few problems.

I remember a while ago you said that you weren't planning on adding any more factions but i can't remember when that was, so have you changed your mind? British would be cool, you'd already have the Lee-Enfield and Bren models, and maybe more I don't really know. Also what about an eastern front? You'd have things like the PPSh already and if you had the resources to add a completely new faction complete with tanks then things like kursk and el alemain would be cool, but i do get that that's a hell of a lot of work

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
We are only focusing in the US Army & Wehrmacht at the moment because we feel that it's imperative to finish them before even considering the thought of developing another. And it's likely not to ever happen.
The british army is not possible because we don't have player soldier models or kit geoms that fit appropriately. The exception might be the british paratroopers but even then is a bit of a stretch. We do have the most basic assets but there's certainly more than those to make it somewhat decent and believable. Not to mention the lack of unique vehicles for anything larger than a 1km level.
The russians is a different story. It would be possible to build that faction since we have unique player models and a ton of assets from BGF mod. Maybe even more so than the germans. But there are things to consider, like PR-tifying everything code wise up to PR and even reskins. The major obstacle are animations though. We only have one animator at the moment and we can never be sure that his availability will remain the same as of now.
Having this in mind, there are also maps that take a chunk of time to be done. It's just...hard. We'll see what the future holds but I wouldn't count on it for now.

PR Vietnam is integrated to the normal PR. Is WWII PR going to be integrated as well?
I'd like to see that happening.

I believe it was answered more than once (possibly in another thread). But yes, we do aim to be integrated to core PR and are doing our best for that to happen. That's a decision that is not ours to make though.

Should it not be integrated into PR, will there be an iteration of PRSpy for WWII, or even for the alpha (assuming it'll be long-term)? Now that the initial fever's died down a bit it'd be nice not to have to boot the game up to check servers.
Well done on the alpha btw; the only flaws I've observed have been the players themselves, so far.

Of course there will be cencorship.
But, fear not! every other sadistic symbol will be allowed though.
Like communist star with hammer and sickle, even though communists killed 30 million of their own in purifications and with starvation.
Hitler was a little schoolboy compared to Stalin.
But hey, hush hush.

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
good job.
I've watched few videos and it is good for alpha and I am sure final release will be very good and rich.
Will SMGs look like/operate like previous version
( PR Normandy )? I loved those guns they were really SMG. not like SMGs of FH, a noise maker and useless.
Those things that are in the beach for blocking Tanks and vehicles, I don't know what they are called.
Don't you think there are a lot of those things on the beach? I am not sure, I just asked or maybe it is according to reality.
Do you have north-africa maps in your plan?
and when will beta or final version be released? I hope in release time we will have at least 5 maps for beginning.
thanks for all efforts in this part.

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
1) SMGs will be fairly similar, but if you want to see them in action check out the videos again, you'll see plenty of mp40, thompson, greasegun and mp44 action! They work well, but of course are only good and short to medium range.
2) Hedgehogs and Belgian gates
There are probably more there than in reality, but Rabbit would probably know for sure. From a gameplay perspective though, this is done to make it a bit harder for the Americans to get the Shermans up on the beach. They also provide quite a bit of cover.
3) At one point there were, but we just don't have the manpower to do that right now. You would need new desert textures, new maps, etc. So, at the moment, no.
4) I will say there will be plenty of maps on the *eventual* release, but at the moment all I can say is when it's ready!

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
I watched many more videos and I have to say it is magnificent and impressive. WOOW
Afarin, Bravo, Viva.
I think now hedgehogs and belgian gates are good and suitable. explosions are glorious. guns are perfect. everything is alright and there is no need to any change.
when you said it is alpha what was your point!!! unless you want to release this in BF3's graphic for beta and BF4's graphic for final version.
come on guys, release it now. I want to play.
thank you to Big rabbit and all other spirits of WW2.

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
Have you thought about putting bullet drop on the tank rounds? I understand the reason there isn't bullet drop on the modern tanks is because you want to represent the targeting technology but that technology isn't present in the ww2 era tanks.
Then again it is probably a lot of work and besides the tank battles on these maps are generally at close range.

There is bullet drop already. Or at least it should during the alpha release. More than that it would feel awkward in my opinion.

Can you make it so that you can pop your head out of the hatch as tank commander when engaging hordes of german infantry firing machineguns at you so you can be like brad pitt?

Funnily enough, we actually have Lee Marvin and Michael Caine as player models in FH2.
