Had some great time armor playing with these guys yesterday. It's hard to find people that actually care about the safety of the armour. Wise use of the M1 for infantry support (although we didn't actually had infantry most of times) and flag defense with the LAV.
Eh, you cared more about armor than infantry support. Us ground pounders had trouble taking the North VCP, though thankfully the Airsupport helped a bunch. But you guys had coordination, Ill give you that.

Good times yesterday with a squad led by Bob.Dob

playing EJOD, the first time we pushed the team all the way back, but the time limit ended before we cappped their last point.

second time after switching teams, we pushed them all the way back and capped their last point with 5 minutes to spare

Person: Anyone who will stay in my squad longer than 1 minute and listens to my kit assignments
Why: Because with a squad working well you can do very well as a team

EX: On river Qwai on Tactical Gamers server last week my squad and I were able to Amass a total score of more than 1800 points. A feat i have not seen repeated. To anyone who will put up with my strict rule: Thank You

These two guys I played with were fantastic! I don't know if I have seen them on the forums, but

[HI]Merc248 (some 3 digit number)
[HI]Hk (something like that)

I started playing with Hk or maybe it was two other letters, anyways, he was in a blackhawk and I asked if I could gun for him. I hopped in and we were flying around, he was spotting stuff, and turning right where I told him to, and we got quite a few kills before we took some heavy fire. We were still fine, or so we thought... two rpgs one right after the other hit us and he spams "bail out bail out!" so I hop out and we chute to the ground. We then are engaging in small talk as we walk around requesting pick up. Of course no one heeds to our call. So we start making our way to the armour column. Unforunatly I got ran over  instead of ONE of Fuzzs APC stopping for two seconds to pick us up! *holds grudge against fuzz and gayxo for speeding past us then running me over* so I spawn and I grab a cobra, then I get him, then he pilots and I gun. We get knocked out, to make a long story short, we bonded and were in squads together til everyone went to bed. Merc and him were both great SLs and everyone that was in our squads was great for the most part (had some lone wolfing)

Woody: the APC should NEVER advance to an actual flag until its secured by its mechanized infantry force.

Unforunately, no infantry ever helped us out, so we could never advance.

Gameplay tip: If you see APC and they are staying alive for a long time, maybe they know a thing or two. Maybe you can use them as a base of operations, and move with them, help them attack objectives, and clear out buildings, and look for RPG threats. Let them lay down supportive fire for you while you move in and finish off the enemy, who are frightened by the big guns and are hiding. Dont just use the APC as a quick spawn point and a place to grab a sniper kit. Treat the APC drivers with respect and they will return the favor!

JEEZ THANKS FOR BUTCHERING MY NAME ******* :D

Oh yeah, the two letter acronym is [HI] for "Hostile Intent" (we're not actually a clan, we come from the community of the Half-Life 1 mod of the same name)

Thanks though, it's much appreciated ;p

Ah cool!
You guys were great to play with and you were an excellent squad leader, even with playing new maps you were still able to rally us up. Although we always had a straggler or two that was kind of lone wolfing hehe. Hope to see you on the battlefield again!

Yep, I hope to join you guys online sometime! I was in a squad with fuzzhead pretty briefly but it was obvious that he was taking things pretty seriously, which was nice for a change. Really reminded me of my old OFP "clan" days :) .

Im sorry fuzz, but all 3 apcs 1km from a flag is not very inviting, and you never approached a grey or hostile flag, even with Inf, we (hail/omen/solo-dude/I) capped south VCP and the APCs never came to help us cap, even when we turned it, the APCs never came any closer than 100m, even
This is most ppls idea of Mech Inf
Image

Short: the APC coloum never came close enough to use a base, never attacked objectives, stayed away from buildings, never laid down any fire that i could discern and never killed any thing or frightened any enemies, who probably never even knew of 3 apcs cowering on the edge of the map

Im not trying to start a flame war, but you should follow your own advice next time and it would of been more fun for our squad.

You're right, we didn't do much in that squad other than try and stay alive, which is what reality is all about. Despite the fact that we didn't really accomplish much, that was probably one of the most real experiences in PR, those rounds with fuzzhead.

Thanks, was great playing with you too.

My name is [HI]Wk~, for the record

*waves* to [HI]DrDna and [HI]Merc248

If you see any of us around, I imagine you'll find some willing team players...

And as boring as running around with pilot kits in the middle of Al Basrah is, it was still pretty cool to be shot down but actually survive, and be evacced.

*Spacecadett* - best squad leader I am aware of. His rhetorical skills and humor always brings the squad together and let people follow orders. Although, his perfect understanding of the game tactis makes following easy.

If you twinkle in the wrong moment you are not in his squad, it is full before a second has passed. Luckily I am one of those guys who gets a late seat if the squad is at maximum already.
