If anyone has a problem with players in the PR official mumble server, seek a dev or anyone with the admin status and they will take action to the dispute immediately.
Also, Tactics & Teamwork now has their own channel.
If any other communities wish to have a channel on the PR official mumble server, let me know and we will create one.

I just came from a few rounds using the mumble overlay, and I never got PB kicked, so I would recommend testing if it works for you, cause it made it much easier for me to figure out what was going on.

Me and a friend of mine do experience CTD at the end of a round when loading a new map. That has hapend every round we played so far with mumble. I can't tell what that problem is related too, but it started with the new snapshot. (I do have to say that I run mumble and PR with the XP service pack 2 option of vista)
It makes using Mumble less attractive when i get CTD after every round I play. But the 3d audio works fine.
My pc specs are:
OS: Vista Home Premium (Not sure if that is the problem, but my friend has the same CTD with XP)
CPU: Pentium D 2x ~3,2Ghz
RAM: 2GB
Videocard: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GTS
I fe more is needed just ask for it. But i hope someone had the same and came up with a solution.
Thanks in advance.

Played my first round with mumble, program is awesome. Half our squad was walking around going "MEC, can you hear us?! Put down your weapons and surrender!"
Pretty cool attacking something and hearing them call you out etc "Behind us!" Or when I snuck up on fuzzhead and DB's squads and they were laughing at me because I was one man
All in all, I love the program and hope there will be a PR hosted event with everyone on one server and on mumble.

Big battles with Mumble are even better then before...
I really like when there is a group of confused blue guys in a cover, not knowing what to do, when an experienced officer comes by, with a fresh info and few good lines... I had scenes that reminded me of the famous Omaha Beach landing from Saving Private Ryan... we're stuck, and an officer appears from nowhere, with some cool lines:
"What squad are you guys? 3rd? Then what are you doing here? Nevermind... listen, there is an APC up ahead - Jim, follow me, I've spotted a nice angle for your LAT - Johny, Smithy, throw some smoke up front, and watch out your east for enemy inf. Ok, people, let's go, move!"
Also on Fallujah West I was in an APC as a gunner, with two squads around us speaking all the time. It's cool when a guy on the ground says "Gunner, can you see that building on the left, behind the tree? Can you suppress them a bit over there, so that we can move fwd?"

Whoever that insurgent was on Basrah who said he was gonna kill me and then was singing, i laughed so hard

Awesome Basrah round.
Then Kozelsk... what else can I say, except... bunny ears.
Great rounds last night guys, I think by the end of it, pretty much everyone was on Mumble, and it was working great

I have a question about the squad leader channels. If I'm NOT in one of these channel and I use force-center-postition, will the squad leaders hear me as well??
Also, a good idea that I read somewhere is to assign the "push to mute" shortcut to your bf2 voip push to talk key. That way when you're using the bf2 voip to talk to your squad, you won't be heard on mumble. That is helpful since it's not everyone yet (hope it changes) that use mumble

just tried it on my "clans" server together with 2 squad mates. One time one of 'm could hear me and I could here him but there was not positional sound.
The other times when I changed some settings and now it only works when Im in windows

no positional stuff
Gonna set some settings up, and rebooting and seeing if it works. Using the PR guide. But I cant find one setting: minimumvolume - 0%
Oh well. Reinstall, reconfigure and try again later tonight
Windows vista 64 bit btw

Because of the way vista channels audio I've found it to be a REAL pain in the ***. It's managable, but it's a hassle

If you are NOT in the Squad Leaders channel and use Force Center Position, only people in your channel will hear it, and that means all friendly AND enemy grunts that are not squad leaders.
So, if you are a Squad Leader you can be on the Squad Leaders channel and coordinate there, but if you are not, DON'T use Force Center Position.
I just remembered a funny scene, kinda what KingKong is talking about: we were on Kozelsk and had 3 squads together in our famous "human blob formation" after some pretty intensive fight as Chechens over an enemy Forward Outpost that we overran.
We were rearming at our FO and to the south enemy reinforcements were coming. I said "let's move out" and the human blob continued moving down south when we saw this single blue guy, [Canuck]C.O. getting shot at and lying down behind a berm. I come behind him and say "hey Canuck, don't worry, look behind you, backup is here", and when he looked there was 15+ friendlies coming running towards him.

One single russian gave a shot at me, and then all these 15+ guys rushed him guns blazing killing them all

Good times... good times...

Admin rights need you to be registered on the server. This can be done manually by "hacking" into the Mumble Database.
Unfortunately, no easy way of administering user registrations has yet come up.
I repeat my request for a solution to use forum user databases as the Mumble user database.
Also, anyone interested in real whispers like on TS?

Lol at gazz.thompson earlier today trying to sneak up on me and shouting "come here you dirty chechen *******", prompting me to turn round and blast him in the face
And yes, I am coming round to the idea of mumble
