Smaw also gets HEDP round and spottingrifle.

Unlike Tandem warhead RPG-7 where scope is inaccurate and has no anti infantry round.
It has multiple rounds yes, but the dip and spread this weapon has is just terrible. The alternate HAT is far and away a better choice.

Can't be as bad as Tandem warhead RPG-7(also has insane drop at range, no anti-infantry option, no spotting rifle).

The tandem has markings on the optics, it's a very reliable weapon when you've spent time getting used to it. The SMAW on the other hand uses a standard ACOG, meaning it's useless safe for seeing your target better. I get why we're given a ranging option on the SMAW, I just wish I didn't have to rearm the weapon every time it's used.

if the backup sights should be adjustable would be well-come.

Ak-74 is still jumping all over the place on fullauto and m16 variant still has almost pointless recoil.

I don't notice it because I always switch to RedFor/opfor side, but I bothered to use hamas m16 a few times and it's blatantly overpowered...like mp5 but with more damage.

I really like that they added reverb to the some of the gun sounds. Reminder RPG-7 Tandem rocket is still a very loud noise of pipes busting and releasing steam into a fucking interdimensional gate...

Anyone else think bolt-action rifles and SKS need better hipfire?

Comment about recoil of AK'47'.

I noticed that AK recoil is as harsh as back in 1.0 release, which I love. AK47 IRL has recoil problem and it should be depicted that way. More realism is more fun for me.

However, it has alot of side to side recoil just like in 1.0. I don't think this is good idea since it can not be controlled unlike upward recoil. At least not by using mouse.

I'm not so confident in making statement about AK74/U or comparison with M16 family, as those are not my usual choice, AK74 also seems to sway side to side more than other 5.56 when firing fullauto.

If the AK47 recoil being heavy as initial 1.0 release was by mistake because of early release of next version, I personally hope it won't be fixed. I like the uncontrollable-ness of current AK47, as 47 version has reputation of fullauto recoil problem.

Talking of, I also notice G3 has Weak recoil than compared to other Battle Rifles, well, there is only 2 other, which is FAL and M14. Now I understand that M14 having more recoil than G3 because of it's more classical setup which must be harder to grip than pistol grip. But how come G3 has less recoil than FAL? Is this really the case or am I only feeling that way? If G3 has less recoil, then what are the reasoning behind it?
G3 feels so controllable that there is only little difference between uncontrollable AK47.

AK-47 should have more recoil to right side than left; there's a reason AKM slant brake is designed to direct gases to topright.

G3 recoil is lower than FAL irl.

PPSH recoil is way too harsh

Totally agree here. In every video I've seen, it seems like you can hold it steady even while emptying an entire clip but in PR it kicks so much that you can only do short bursts. And I don't think that lowering the recoil will make it unbalanced because it has poor stopping power and very limited range.

it recoils more than an AK47 but it's a smg. AR15's have significantly less recoil too.

From the number of youtube videos I've seen ( my only reference to go by so give me a break ) the MP5 and PPSH recoil seem to be very similar, however PPSH rate of fire is just nuts.

Russian PPSH-41 Sub-Machine Gun!!! - YouTube

As for AR-15, it has no recoil last time I checked

Yes. It will be great if that can be depited. AK47 recoiling up and right, if that is possible.

How so? How does G3 have less recoil than FAL? It fires same ammunition. I know it has different action tho. Is it difference in weight of whatever parts get blown back after firing?

T.A.Sharps wrote:It is not because of the recoil is less that they can hold it straight, it is because people who are trained to use fully automatic rifles are trained how to keep them straight and not let them fly over their head. ( you can also do the same in PR)

If you took that same rifle IRL and fired it on full auto you would probably end up hitting yourself in the back of your head.
Yes, obviously it depends on the shooter but my point is that you should be able to control the recoil with the mouse (with practice) just as you would be able to control it in real life (also with practice). I know this can't be modeled too accurately in a game but the PPSH still has lots of recoil which can't be controlled no matter how much you practice, which I think is overkill considering that trained shooters seem to be able to hold it very steadily IRL. There's just too big of a difference.

i've tried magdumping into enemies past 15 meters and it's just wildly ineffective. Meanwhile a magdump of any other gun even something like the G3 would be much more devastating.

I don't think there is a problem with PPSH having high-ish recoil.

It's not a mp5; it does not even have a handguard.

In return; it needs higher damage.
