Should be updated in this thread too, if i've had it right.[/quote]

In fact if you all didn't know, it's an finnish invention by Jarkko Oikarinen in August 1988.
Wikipedia - Irc

Unfortunately most other europeans seldomly use it. Shame.

So comrades: Try it. Use it. Like it.

An easy way to start is some web client. Following are most potential IMO:

Ownage as always, too bad it crashed on Fools after finally being able to play with Jafar and some other fags again.

Jafar is epic!

He was all like: Shift fire 50 m north 30 m west. I was like Copy shifting fire bla bla bla. I actually replied that way, made me feel like a noob again :) good times

I'm still basking from my 128 player fix.

I had some great time on the Fools Road: some of the best fifty cal action in a long time. Some squad just build these PERFECTLY placed fifty cal emplacements and abandoned them. Generally, the game play was excellent all around, people worked reasonably well together: I lost count of the times that I was revived or rescued by my team mates, leaving me with a solidly positive k/d ratio (which always feels nice).

*blushes

Anyways; a few thoughts for the next test event:

-We probably should not run Fools Road or Korengal Valley; there were a lot of dissenting voices to those maps, and the latter map actually has a somewhat broken GPO for blufor that makes winning very hard. Personally I think we should steer clear of maps where the opposing factions would cause a team preference (I.E. Insurgency maps, maps with Militia), so that we can keep player numbers high and the tests productive for longer.

-Request: assuming we haven't found gamebreaking bugs with it, can we try an 18-man squad member maximum with the following kit access points? (Organizational stuff I'd like to try out with running a squad the size of a small platoon):
2nd AR at 8 people
3rd AR at 13 people
4th AR at 18 people
2nd Non-AR Infantry kits at 10 people (Grenadier, Specialist, Rifleman AT, Rifleman AP, Marksman)
3rd Non-AR Infantry kits at 18 people (Grenadier, Specialist, Rifleman AT, Rifleman AP, Marksman)
2nd Medic as is.
Specialty kits as is. (Sniper, CE, Anti-Tank, Anti-Air)
Thank you very much.

-You guys are doing a wonderful job of this. Keep it up!

But did you like the platoon system !? :D

I didn't quite join in time to witness the platoon execution, so I have no comment on that.

I'm wanting to make a "squad" which is really four 4-man fireteams (two squads worth of men), a platoon sergeant, and a platoon officer (the SL).

The server is also hosted in London, within LINX, which makes it much more accessible for those players who reside in the United States and outside of Europe. I'm not sure why exactly you're repeating yourself and thereby making me repeat myself though?
This!

I have been wanting to try out the 128 player server for some time, but the ping is just unbearable.

:(

Well i was Platoon leader. With 1 Infantry squad APCs and CAS/Trans.

Then 2nd platoon was infantry

and 3rd platoon was Infantry.

We had alot of communication issues between platoons, but using caps in allchat, and me switching mumble channels worked quite well.

Epic first platoon on Kokan!

Must say that system works quite neatly.

but muttrah was true chaos. Had griefers and everything. And the standard. WHAT IS THE PASSWORD!

I was thinking if it could be possible to add the password to the name of the 128 test SISU Mumble server? Then, anyone who can find the mumble server immediately finds the password.

That would violate the Server license agreement i think.

That's true. Server is running modified content, so it must be password protected.

Password is not allowed in server description (as it would make password meaningless, i think).
