Newsupdate: The .:iGi:. servers are now streaming to Punksbusted and we'll be keeping a close eye on suspect players using PB screenshots.

ah, k thors have some, but i rarely play on them due to the 64 player size - the other server is that extel (sorry if the name is wrong) and that´s three then and all of them are european - now take away those with 64 players and you ´ll see there are quite a few server with your playersize and with vehicles in europe ^^

Sorry IF this has been suggested before: what about 2 igi servers - one liek the present 1, with no armour ext. but another with similar armour layout as suggest on the iGi forum.

iGi is already very popular - would 2 servers lower the standard of player becuase only really comited players spend 5mins trying to get on it.

iGi also only fills up at around 6:00pm GMT suggesting it is only popular at certain times therefore 2 servers would empty for long periods of time, so therefore 2nd one would be pointless at times.

What do peeps think - negatives are apparent but mabey to a less extent in the near future as PR community grows.

We don't have the capacity to run another big server so that rules that idea our from the start...

1 server is prefferable anyway as we all like to play together and of course admin. We wouldn't want to have to split up.

Maybe one day if we have enough members to pay for a new better server when PR is huge. :-D

We pay about £400/Q for our dedicated server (a Dual Xeon 2.8GHz with 2Gb DDR2) which has 1x 44man public BF2 (could go to 64 easy enough) and a couple of locked BF2 servers for matches/testing and a couple of CSS servers.

We'd need to get an upgrade on the hardware to handle another big BF2 server.

he's getting a short ban from the server as everyone is getting drunk and i'm sure it's not his usual playing antics. Some things aren't so much forgiven as tempered.

Let's hope theres not any more of this tonight!

When I start yelling at my team they never listen to me. :(


I don't know why that is, i always follow orders and do what other people say. Then when i even spot a guy literally infront of someones face they do nothing. Some people are too fixated on doing their own thing and don't use their ears and eyes enough.

heh, know what you´re talking about.
today a squadmember of mine was 2 metres away from me, bleeding - i tell him to come to my position, because i am covered, so i can heal him. he starts running away from me and i tell him i´m behind him - he turn around, looks at me and runs away again - two minutes later he complains that he is bleeding and no one heals him...

Apologies to anyone I may (or may not) have TK'd in the office of the POW camp on the Zhangjiang Security Area on our server 2/1/07: I'd had a "Jazz Cigarette" prior to picking up my mouse & playing PR.
I'd been USMC round 1 then, in round 2, I was playing as PLA medic, I ran out of charges for my defib & picked up a USMC spec ops kit to go gung-ho-killah with. This is when I think I made my stoner-boo-boo: I may have run into the office (following my unaware CL) and, seeing my M4, thought I was USMC then, maybe, shot some of my PLA team mates that were in there trying to recapture the flag.... oops!
UGH: can you confirm if this was the reason behind your "Eggenberg: what are you doing?" squad message?
Like I said.......... a stoner-boo-boo...... maybe.
If so, accept my sincere apol's.
If not, then ignore this post & applaud my gung-ho frenzy :mrgreen:

played some great rounds today - first was sunset city, i played us with dabondi (i hope i got the nick right^^) in the first round and while we still got our arses handed, we had some great teamwork and were the only squad being really at the enemy´s position (we lost the lower city and tried conquering it back) - the second round...well, my squad sticked together again (with bondi as sl) but the other squads were really pissing me off.
just before the game began is wrote in capital letters "VOIP IS GONNA GO DIRECTLY TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE" and what did the others do, except 2 people all the other squads did the same - resulting in us neither getting the cs nor the market - in the end we got pushed pretty bad, but my squad managed to neutralize at least the second pla flag two times and conquering with the help of another squad, still in the end we lost even the pla mainbase

next map was ejod desert - and man did we rock. i was sl and this time, the other squads listended :)
i wrote "VOIP IS GONNA GO TO THE RUINS - AT LEAST ONE OTHER SQUAD GO TO THE SQUARE" and alas, one squad signed up. we took the ruins and the square pretty fast and after some initial defending my squad managed to break through the western flank and we rushed to the gardens, attacking the from the west entrance - and even though in the end several squads were attaking too, it was due to my squad that we even got close to the flag (*proud*) - we defended us against some smaller attacks and while we never really got into trouble loosing the gardens, we were attacked pretty nicely from the eastern wall and it took us quite some times (and some virtual lifes^^) to get those mec guys down there :)

the second round, the teamwork coordination at the beginning worked out again, but somehow, and i really dont know how, a usmc spec op managed to get to the gardens before us (shouldnt that be impossible???) - that was quite suspecious i have to admit, especially because apparantly he did not use a humvee and was there before us!) and naturally, surprised us with some grenades and his m4.
after some time, because of most people heading to the square, we got the gardens and basically, the rest of the time we tried to get the square then.

we tried several ways, but it was really well defended, no matter what we´ve did. then, ironically a usmc soldier gave me my idea - he rushed through the western side with a humvee and got up the wall facing the gardens. i ordered my squad to get up there and kill him, because he tried nading us. as we where up there, we´ve started to attack the usmc from there with all we got , including one grenade launcher (which got some usmc pissed - and even though we were not shooting at the flag, we were called baserapers - funny thing is, that the mec did exactly the same thing the round before) - eventually, we all got killed - so it was time for a new plan - and this, i can say, was half-genious ^^

i ordered my squad to get up that wall again, everyone should spawn medic and as soon as you were up there - they were to crouch.
so my whole squad got up there and we were making our way alongside the wall, crouched, even someone not in our squad joined us without exposing my position. that just looked so friggin cool, unfortunatly i only got a picture not showing us all

we managed to get behind the square and one of our guys hid himself on a roof - unfortunatly, the rest of the squad, including me got killed.
i did not want to wait that long again so me and three guys hopped into a vodnik and just drove up to that wall and along side it - meanwhile, we transferred the squad leaders position from me to recon (dont remember the whole nick -sry^^) and attacked the square - in the end, it was my very squad to be the only mec squad to attack the square flag, we even managed it to neutralize it and nearly got it, when the time ran up (and the rest of our team "managed" to loose the gardens -__-) - still, that rounds was friggin aweseome, even if we lost in the end...
