PRTA Cookies and Commendations!
Teamwork is the essence of any great PR game. However, we think the way we enforce our gameplay and rules is too negative. And we wish to give players who actually dedicate themselfs to do good. This we want to do by giving out cookies.
1 cookie is worth the ability to decide the next map, or receive a reserved slot.

To gain a cookie you need to command an entire round on PRTA, and win. This will grant you a cookie. To receive your cookie, make a thread in this forum: Commend a player | PRTA - Project Reality Teamwork Alliance

And post how you won, aswell as when the round was, and what the end score was.

Any player you feel fit for a cookie, for whatever reason, you can also commend. They do not need to be a commander or squadleader, just someone you feel brings the game quality up.

Any player that requests a cookie, will be assesed in the admin forum. After we have decided, we will post a confirmation that you have received a cookie on the commendation thread.

We feel this system is a good substitute of the 2.5 rule. And we hope to see alot more commanders in PRTA.
As of now the 2.5 rule is removed.

Thank you for the feedback, and testing out the enviroment on our servers.

Regards

PRTA Managment

I think the fact that ODS and alot of good players were on the US side. The fact that we didnt get capped out was a testimony to that.

The next round on marlin, i switched to the winning team. And we capped out the Canadians in 20 min.

I honestly dont think my strategy lost us the round. The players on the US side, were alot better the MEC. And people on MEC was failing to follow orders. If I say, dont use an asset. Thats within the rights of the CO.

If you read:
2.4 An admin can resign a player in every position.
2.4.1 Any squad leader that doesn't follow the Administrators orders, will be warned and kicked.
'''2.5''' Follow orders. Grunts, must follow squadleader orders. Squadleaders must follow Commanders orders.

We had no superiority around bunkers to effectivly engage any targets, and only one of my squadleaders knew how to use the Radio to mark targets.

I had to deal with pissed off pilots for 10 min, since they werent allowed to fly. I strongly belive, that the developers have put inplace assets for the Infantry to effectivly engage and eliminate Tanks and AIR using FOBs and kits.

But hardly any of my squads were able to effectivly engage armour targets. I had orderd, in our initial deployment our tanks to the small compound on the hill north east of the North bunker. But they said they wanted to do some other stuff. And moved all the way on the other side of the map.

Then my squads at South bunker started assaulting the enemy flag on North Bunkers. But had no support from tanks or surrounding FOBs on the hills. After several attempts they were beaten down and repressed. And kept to the one bunker they had landed next to. Only to be surrounded and eliminated, shortly after our tanks was all bombed by the enemy CAS.

Our tank column had set up position very close to eachother and as a result proved an easy target for a trained CAS pilot. With no AA units around. It seemed I had to focus on infantry and FOBs to defend South Villag. Since my tanks were lost, due to a hotheaded Squadleader who couldnt follow orders. And infantry that didnt realize it needed to cover the ground at south bunkers, before it could move up to north bunker.

I think keeping the helicopters were the right choice, since they would have just been lost immediatly.

i think people just like having a scapegoat.

Our air might have been killed immediately.

FOB's were off no use as anything was lazed and destroyed by the apache in seconds

Thats not true. The first fob on Bunkers was taken out by enemy HAT, before the apaches spawned.

The fobs on north bunker was taken out by their infantry.

The FOBs on south villages, was taken after fierce fighting with infantry armour and air. And only after several minutes, we were able to keep a foot hold in south village long enough, to neutralize South Bunker again.

Like I said, people who follow orders, gave me a chance to swing the game in our favour. And people who just wanted to be left alone playing the game "their" way. Made it frustrating for the rest of the team, since our Assets were for the most part being used in an inefficient manner.

As such, stating that our FOBs was lazed and destroyed by the apache in seconds, is false. The armour did not successfully coordinate with AA, to safely traverse the combat zone.

To win on the bunkers, has nothing to do with a large flank on the left or right side. I mean waay out. Like our armor did. Its about setting up a large area of denial zone with 50 cals, tanks TOWs and AA. All around bunkers. And using Infantry to clear it.

Our team failed at that.

Or they might have gotten lucky. Ploddit is right, if you dont use assets you will lose for sure, as you are just making it easier to get your guys killed. Denying use on a _public_ server pretty much means you are dead, especially if its air, and your armor is all down.
