Why won't this thread die? I'm tired of seeing this as the first thread listed in General Discussions.
Spam thread is spam.
Like I said many, many pages ago; this thread needs to be locked. Preferably deleted.
oh lighten up man, theres no spam here at all, its all perfectly related to PR and most people here are on topic. technically you're the one spamming in here

I just saw an elephant on Al Basrah! It was somewhere in the B5 grid.
BTW has anyone noticed that the author of this thread has never posted again in it?

Stickies tend to be less visible than large, non-sticky threads tho.
And I think the thread is nearing it's end anyway.

We first found the bear back in 0.5. It was there, lurking, waiting, just daring anyone to go near. Lying in wait for those unlucky passers by who strayed too close to it's lair. We sent teams to trap it, to remove it from the mod. But they were never seen again. We lost many good developers and testers to that bear.
In one last effort to save the public from the wrath of the bear, I went in, alone, a few days before the 0.6 release. After many hours of tracking, I finally caught a glimpse of it. It hadn't seen me yet. This was, perhaps, the last chance. If I failed here, it would mean another six months of tyranny. Finger hovering over the delete key, I moved closer. But before I got in range, it pounced. An epic struggle ensued, the massive strength of the bear against my cunning and lightening quick modding skills. In the end, I managed to incapacitate it, deleting its .con file. But not before it had taken off my leg with one huge, powerful swipe of its paw. I limped back, safe in the knowledge that it could do no more harm.
Little did I know, the bear survived. It lay in wait for over a year, slowly healing itself with a medic kit someone had carelessly dropped in the desert. Finally, by 0.9 it had reached its former strength and might - and after such an ordeal, may well be even stronger than before. I now sit here, planning the next attack. This time there must be no compromise. We must remove all trace of the bear for the sake of future generations.

I hear the mother bear is pregnant, which explains the alpha male bears recent aggression. She is pregnant, and if, god help us, she were to bear[no pun intended] a child, it would be the end of PR as we know it.
We must assemble now, with everything we have to remove this threat. We cannot be allowed to play with the idea that the we and the bear can coexist. We must activate Mumble, remove deviation[except for the bears paws], enable fastroping, and remove limits on all kits.
It might even help to make them requestable off of the bear itself. This, after all, will be up close and personal.

Sounds like a good idea for a community event

First we are going to need a bear hunters kit. Im thinking something like:
Knife
Insta-build super shovel
Shotgun w/ buckshot
M249
SRAW
Stinger (In case the bear has air support)
Max field dressings & ammo bags possible

No. Just an Enfield with only 10 extra rounds, some evil melee weapon, binocs and a shovel. Maaybe a field dressing. Give that to all players. One player gets the bear kit/vehicle: Fast, hard to kill, extremely tough in melee. Then a night map in a dense forest with lots of caves etc. Whoever kills the bear may take the bear kit and be the next bear then. The team that kills the most bears (it doesn't matter which team the bear player is actually on) wins. Until 10 died or a time limit ran out or sth.
Now we just need some people with uber modding skills and too much free time.

Quite honestly this would not be all that difficult to make... Of course the bear role would have to be carried out by a player.

The males don't care much about the female once 'the job is done'....they'll eat the young once they're born as a good protient supplement. If the bear is running she might have just spotted the father in a humvee??

Why? Why would you continue to bump a dying thread? Just let it die, Christ.
This thread needs a proper burial, as in a lock. Take it around back and shoot it, repeatedly.
