Had an absolute blast playing on the =HOG= server last night, and kudos to whoever the USMC sniper was on the MEC side ~2100-2200 CDT... you were a huge force multiplier, our whole team was in disarray in that sector.
I tk'd someone (I think a HOG member) by accident laying down AR fire toward the enemy base... newb mistake, should have checked the map.
Then, the 5 or 6 of us hunting that ubersniper ended up tagging each other several times. I got smoked by a teammate who was hunting the sniper because I was firing from a long way out in the general vicinity. I had a second TK on a super long shot... left xhairs on the guy for 10 seconds, and took the shot when he was moving into cover... terrible. I decided to log then, because I was clearly doing more harm than good.
Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for providing the server, superb performance, and the admins were great too. HOG Huey stunt ace gave me some great pointers on flying as well.
Also wanted to apologize for the TKs, I promise to rectify the situation in future engagements... a little too trigger happy last night.
(Do you guys have ingame BF2 VoIP disabled? Was using mumble, and it was very cool - first time for that for me, and was considering setting up mumble only on our own server if this is all the rage in PR)

what he is trying to say is that he has a pbbans violation for hacking so therefore we do not lift any bans or activate anybody on our website due to the violation.

No offense to Desmolocke but it's not really any of my business as to how he was banned or why. I was merely asking as to what was ment by guid IP.

I would like to see the information about my supposed PB Ban as well because its news to me.
Its interesting because I thought I was a respected player and member of the community and I think I would have some people that could attest to that.
And I can't give server feedback as I haven't been able to play in there for over a month. I was trying to follow proper protocol and create an account to inquire about what was up. But to not even approve my account over at the HOG site or deal with me through PMs on the PR site seems like an unnecessary harsh policy.

Not trying to butt in or anything, I'd just like to point out that PB bans get things wrong a lot more than you might think. It's just something to consider.
@ Elektro if I remember correctly, join a server open up console and type in my_guid and you should get a 30 character set of numbers, letters. This is your GUID.
I might have the command prompt wrong as I haven't done it for ages.
Hope that helps.

Very true, Punkbuster is very glitchy and it should not forbid you the right to make an account.

Question on rules regarding the Fort...
A couple of nights ago, we wanted to place mortars near the fort, and we had a HOGger in our squad, so I wanted to get clarification on the proper distance.
The rule states that you can't build at Fort or Ramp (if I am not mistaken) and he added "the parking lot and anywhere you can't attack" to that. Easy enough.
We built northeast at that coastal village, and it was a great position for mortars and AA/AT on the front facing the bay.
Later, I was driving the logi up the ramp, and was surprised to find an enemy AAV waiting for me at the top. Needless to say, he won the match up.
We had a FOB and AA in the Fort parking lot (which he knocked down and we immediately rebuilt). I built those there because there is already AAA right there, and the Fort acts as a permanent FOB anyway (and only mortars are mentioned in the rule).
I guess my question is, if an enemy AAV was able to roll right through there (he came around the Fort from the north side onto the parking lot) then is it okay to build there? And why is the ramp off limits (other than blocking the hell out of it) for mortars? I am not at all complaining or questioning the decision, just trying to understand the reasoning as I will apply many things like this I am seeing to my server.
Was he inside a DoD and just doing whatever damage he could before it started hurting him? I did not see or hear anyone mention where he went after I died in the logi truck.
Also, the FOB/SAM I built there, is that kosher? If not, can I build a SAM up closer to the fixed AAA?
24/7 Muttrah is a grand idea, and definitely a clan favorite... we almost always end the night there.

Sorry for the back to back posts, but I have another question: What constitutes "AFK"?
I left the keyboard for ~ 30 seconds (said I was AFK on teamchat as I was the only dedicated AA coverage), and was back for a minute or so, sitting on my AA and scanning for targets when I was Admin option kicked for AFK...
Was this simply because my dot on the map wasn't moving? The server WAS full, but another teammate said that he'd been admin kicked when he wasn't AFK as well...

we setup these rules to prevent U.S going anywhere near the fort or mec main because you always get some idiot that will try and camp the main so we decided mortars have to be in the field of battle so it becomes attackable if however you decide to build mortars in the fort parking lot the the only assets that can take it out is the heavy assets this way we dont have guys camping the fob or the guys on the mortars as for the ramp we decided this is off limits because players were building the mortars behind the buildings to the left of the ramp and we were getting infantry moving in to destroy the mortars and just sit there camping the guys as they move out from the main. hope this helps you

we do have our server set to auto kick any idlers but there is also admins that kick people to make room for themselfs or players in mumble most of the time they check to see who is idle and who isnt in a squad if you were ingame and went afk it might just be that they were making room and it was showing you idle if there is no afk players then they will kick players with the lowest score.

Thank you very much for explanations on both questions!
I probably did have 0 points as nothing had come by to smack with the SAM yet, so that makes sense.
The small village NE of the fort is okay to build in/around, right? (The stuff near the end of the coast road)

Good customer service? I haven't received a bill yet...
People can bash HOG all they want, it's the idiots in the game, not the server, that is the problem - and the server is full all night, every night.
It's certainly a mixed bag as far as team quality goes, and they could use some more admins for sure, but the numbers speak for themselves.

I don't find this Server good. Tactical Gamer is 20x better.
And like NO ONE has mics on the server.
