V1.0 Vasdo City Update

PLEASE BRING BACK THE NORWEGIAN LOADING MUSIC! That was one of the best parts of starting up Vasdo City was the loading music :P It got everyone in a fun mood. But when the round started It was always serious. I know its not a big deal or anything having or not having the music I just feel it fit the map better :)

We removed all copyrighted music from the mod. Sorry, but we shouldn't have used it in the first place.

I played Vadso after a while this week. I have played until the last changes, but most around the city area, but now it was different, we were fighting at crossroads - i really didnt like it.

There are way to many bushes, nothing feels like like Pr while playing in this area. All fights concentrate of lurking in the bushes and shoot fullauto the person 1m away from you. The behaviour of bushes is so unrealistic in pr (you just glide through them, no additional sounds etc.) so that they have nothing to do with their reallife counterparts and you cant use tactics or something. I'd really like to see some the bushes removed or changed with other objects like trees.

It never struck you why the bushes were added?

I do agree.

Vasdo in the City last time I played (Few months ago i think 1.0.36) had tons of bushes by the houses and such in the city. So it's you walking, with you squad. Then BOOOOOOM pkms and all hell breaks loose. Then your whole squad has to respawn and waste 16 tickets or so.

The bushes are a real problem.
Yesterday I played as russian apc squad and without commander guiding us to enemys we wouldnt be able to kill anything. You can hide entire sicmitars in bushes cut the engine and see if anything shows up infront of you.
Full squads can sneak from bush to bush and can avoid any fight if they want to because they never have to cross open ground.
REAL defending is also extremly hard. You can either hide in a bush and hope a enemy passes you (no teamplay, no realsim pure camping) or try to build defenses which give your position away.

I am for a 50% reduction of bushes. Make it so you have "bush islands" surrounded by open ground. That way Inf can still hide from APC or anything else but cant sneak from one flag to the other without getting seen.

I was probably in the scimi you tried to kill yesterday, bare in mind that the scimi autocannon has a ridicously slow ROF, so hiding behind bushes and thermal optics counters the ROF of both the 14.5mm and 30mm.

Off topic:
We killed every scimi... sooner or later ;) . I did thought that the British cannon (raden?) is extremly weak, but I underestimated them against "soft" targets like the BRDM and BTR-80. BRDM dies after less then 10 hits and BTR takes maybe 20 (I died faster because I tryed to run away from warrior :roll :) . Of course the BTR-80A rapes everything if it gets a chance.

But my point is, not only from the APC view, that it is too easy to hide everywhere.

Getting microed by the commander to the hiding scimi (the commander microed us most off the time to find anything)

He hears us but we can't find him:
