Okay, first PR message from my new computer. So everything is up and running, drivers installed. Only problem I'm having is that I have no audio from my speakers.

Got the most recent drivers off of ASUSTeK website. I've tried hooking the wires up every which way that I can.

Here's the speakers I have- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6836121044

And I have an ASUS Xonar D1 7.1 card.

UPDATE:
HAHA, I don't know what I did, but I've got audio now.

Random photos I took during the build. No specific order.

looks nice I like how my post is on the screen

Eh, it's preference. I like Razer, I've never had any problems with them.

The CPUs are overclocked to 4.2MHz and the GPU is overclocked to core 1100MHz and memory 1500MHz. Both done through AMD Overdrive since I a)don't know how to do BIOS overclocking b)don't want to break anything BIOS overclocking. I have a buddy at work that knows a quite a bit about overclocking, so I'm going to have him come over and walk me through it. And the drivers are up to day.

So I decided to post some new pictures since I've done some big changes to my rig since those previous pictures (like better cable management :D ).

New specs:
CPU:Intel i5 [email protected] (Corsair H100 CPU cooler w/ Cooler Master SickleFlow fans in push/pull)
MOBO:ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
GPU :X FX Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition@1125MHz
RAM:16GB Corsair Vengenance DDR3@1600MHz
PSU:Kingwin 1000w 80 Plus Platnium
Hard Drives:120GB Kingston HyperX SSD;60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD;1TB WD Caviar Blue 7200RPM
Optical Drives:ASUS Blu-Ray
Sound Card:ASUS Xonar D1
WiFi Card:ASUS PCE-N15
NZXT Sentry fan controller

If you can see in the picture below, there's some extra PCI plugs hanging in the open. Possible Crossfire of 7970s....

lol whatever happened to your FX 8150? Did you swap that already?

Just curious, OCed the 2500K? If so what temps are you getting with the opush \ pull config?

Why did I swap the FX-8150...well a couple of reasons:

1. It overclocked like ****. I've got my i5 running at a stable 4.3GHz (I could probably take it even further, but I see no reason as I get ridiculous performance;my fps on my games are all above 60). The FX-8150 wouldn't go over 4.2GHz without having a heart attack. And when ever I overclocked it, even to 3.7GHz, PR:BF2, vBF2 and BF3 all became extremely laggy. Not clue why, but those were the only games affected. ArmA2 and DCS Black Shark ran smooth and much better with the overclocks.

2. I kept looking for a reason to buy the Intel. I'm not one who will just go out and buy anything, even though I do have a tendency to do that, I wanted a good reason to and finally got it when the motherboard died.

I'll post some pictures of temperatures later on. I have some other things to attend to at the moment.

Edit: pictures of temps at idle and under load.

Looks very nice man. Such a shame AMD is failing lately, since Im running AMD like forever and still do. I hope they come up with something good by the time I decide to upgrade.

Currently best gaming CPU is exact one you got. Price/performance wise I think.

I agree with you massive. I love AMD. They were king for so long. I wish they'd get their stuff together. Hopefully the Piledriver makes up for the the Bulldozer lacked in.

AMD FX-8350 Piledriver CPU Expected to Launch Mid-Q3

AMD is going to be quite busy over the next year with all the different anticipated CPUs they're talking about. I hope one of them regains the throne for them. They've got a lot to make up for to beat out the current Intels on the market.

I honestly won't be making the change. The only way I'm dropping more money into this rig is to Crossfire another GPU and add another SSD to run ArmA2 for itself and leave the OCZ SSD for DCS Black Shark and BF3. I'm happy with the 2500K and it's performed phenomenal despite having half the cores the FX-8150 did.
