please do not do that.

I don't know what that means, but I won't make one then.

Just use a 2nd Computer? A friend does this and it is no problem. We had no problems with anyone ever, everyone thought music was great. Common sense like always in PR, overcomes all problems. Turn off music on the OFF CHANCE there is enemy's around and everything is fine. If asked by someone to stop - Stop it.

I really don't see the problem with this. Seriously, i have way more problems with people that just talk nonsense between rounds.

Don`t play music over mumble because you will occupy the servers network bandwith resources with useless music spam.

Edit:
Source: FAQ/English - Mumble
Worst case scenario: Number of users x Number of talking users x 133,6 kbit/s. With less aggressive quality settings, it's ~60 kbit/s, and the bare minimum is 17.4kbit/s. Note that Mumble is geared towards social gaming; its quality enables people to talk naturally to each other instead of just barking short commands, so the amount of "users talking at the same time" can be somewhat higher than expected.
This means that a server with 20 players and 2 players talking at once requires 1-3 Mbit/s, depending on quality settings. In the server's .ini file, you can specify the maximum allowed bitrate for users as well as the maximum number of clients to allow.
Additional information / community-provided examples can be found on the Commercial Hosting page.
Source: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Commercial_Hosting#Murmur_technical_requirements
Mumble uses CELT, and using the highest quality and lowest latency, the peak bandwidth is 134kbit/s per speaker per listener (with IP and UDP overhead). However, this is the max bandwidth, and the recommended bandwidth (that has a very unnoticeable quality reduction for normal speech) is 63kbit/s. In other words, a server with 10 users and 1 user speaking will need to replicate the datastream 9 times, for a total of 63*9=567kbit/s outgoing bandwidth. If all 10 users speak at once, each stream has to be replicated 9 times, for a total of 63kbit/s*9*10=5.67 Mbit/s. Note that these are absolute worst-case scenarios, and the average bandwidth use is around 20-30 kbit/s during speech, multiplied by the number of listeners; it is only possibly in a real world scenario for at most two people to be talking at the same time and still understand what they are saying.

PRMumble is set to max of 40kbit/s (kilobits) downstream, (kilobit=1024 bits in this scenario)
so if you play music at the main at round start on a full 64 player server,
you could be doing something like 40kbit/s * 31 = 0.1513671875 Megabytes/second .
That is not horrible abndwidth usage.
It's your choice of music that's horrible, let's get that straight.

It cummulates:
* 10 servers = 1.51 Mb/s
+ mumble spam between rounds (40kbit/s * 63 players in the channel * 10 spamming at once = 3.076171875 Megabytes/second)

-> lagspikes
-> disconnect of high-pingers
-> multiple automatic reconnect-tries in a short timeframe
-> DDoS effect
-> Mumble down

Yes, I think we need to know that before we start throwing doomsday comments around.

That always seems to be Dons go to song. But ya music with Brain and Don makes everything so much more enjoyable.

Now that stupid song is stuck in my head god damn it.........

hooya! (<3 me some FLAC)

I'd love to play music on mumble if my computer could handle it XD but nonetheless its super fun when your with a buncha guys and have an apc or huey rocking out hard to some good tunes. Slightly annoying during combat but makes a hell of a story. "Yeah we were storming this Cache and Toxic by Britney Spears came on. HILARIOUS....Yeah! Of course we got the cache 8-) Couldn't let our girl down!"

Although two people playing music at the same time is bad. VERY BAD.

With all good things, its best in moderation and in the hands of mature individuals, not every Joe with itunes.

Exactly, I made a guide, but haven't distributed it anyone else than one person. I don't trust the judgement of most people and it could snowball effect, so yeah..
