Extract it to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

I just go oldschool, just use the mirrors because that damn updater won't work.

When it asks if you want to overwrite the folders/files, click yes. When all is done, you should only have one "mods/pr" folder. Also, to make sure everything worked correctly, launch the updater program. It should say you have beta 2 if you unzipped everything correctly.

I've just realised something. The PR Devs actually listen to what the community wants/needs, then they add/fix/change it, unlike many other developers...

I get the following error message: Access denied.

This message comes every time after i extract the update to the BF2 folder and then I click YES for overwrite the folders / files and then come the error message.
Autoupdater doesnt work.
Can someone help me pls?

You tried rightclick -> start as administrator?

Alright I have installed it, but there is no server filled with people on 'nam maps, is a test on a local server enough to test for crashes or other bugs? Because all servers seem to prefer maps like Kozelsk over Ia Drang and Dien Duong

I'd love to see a Vietnam-only server, so whenever you feel like dropping some Napalm, you can hop on and do it.

Still have to be populated of course. But I'm sure the community can come up with something..?

yeah shame that vietnam was played for only a week and devs were working on it for 2 years....

Did you increase the A1H plane's rolling speed on air strip? It was horrible slow in the first version, which made you take ages for reloading!

EDIT:
Tested it on my own now.
Reload/repair zone on the air strip is now enlarged, so you dont have to taxi into the little A1H's spawn area which made you take ages. You can simply land now, stay on the middle of the airstrip and take off after reload without having to maneuver anymore

Yes, i tried this... but it still doenst work :/

Please check if you have got the right version. Start the Updater in your PR folder. If it shows you the current version is Beta 2, then it is the right one. If not try to download the zip file and copy the "mods" into your bf2 Game folder.

762 is hosting a PRV 24/7 server like Daniel says.

I replaced the folders. But every time I launch the PR app. It sits on the loading screen before the app opens. And then just fails to load and closes. I'm not sure if this will help. But I looked at the prError folder and it's giving me this

Delete My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles.
Run normal Battlefield 2.
Retrieve your account and log in.
Close BF2 and try running PR.

I have the same problem as BlackTears. So do I just copy the mod folder then right click on the bf2 folder and paste?
