Thanks Rhino. Model is progressing slowly since university started, it is taking pretty much all of my time (hell, i only played like 1 hour of Falkands since release :( ). I have done some progress since last update, but i want to get make it properly high poly before i show it.

no worries, sounds good :D

BTW had a lot of good feedback gameplay wise from the MIM-23 HAWKs which are standing in as a place holder for these and the Rapier missiles :D

Its some odd tube/cable, its in full view on the first pic. I just felt like not giving it the same colour as the rest of the thing, for now :)

Big thumbs up from me for continuing with the subd/highpoly, some quite complex geo there too, good work.

Ye very nice work indeed :)

My only real crit would be that your falling into the trap of making the high poly model a lot more detailed than it really needs to be. While there is no problem with this, it just means your just spending a lot more time on the model on things that won't come out in the final textures when its baked to the low poly model and then the texture size is optimized. However it dose mean that the model is much more future proof, although can't think of many places this could be used :D

As long as your enjoying adding the extra detail and/or plan on using it in future engines then there is no problem :D

Well nobody goes straight to Dev, everyone first starts off as an R-CON (or tester or something) and then works there way up.

But yes if Luck continues like this I see no reason why he shouldn't get R-CONed :D

He may become R-CON first but I can still see dev status incoming. :D

Good work! Keep watching that edge with, and maybe cluster those wires/cables, or put them against the surface where applicable. It'll save you tris on recreating those in the low poly (or losing the detail).

Sweet details on those engines!

Progress is slow but steady, working on the lower frame part now, its shaping up pretty well, need to attach quite a few more things there to have the basic lowpoly layout done. Then its just matter of adding edge loops and insetting polygons to get highpoly done. And then its time for ingame lowpoly model :)

There had been a gap where of about 4 months where i didnt touch it at all, sadly, but for the last month or so i work on it from time to time, and slowly the highpoly is nearing compltetition. I will post some pictures when i get home.

The other thing is to create a lowpoly, and how the bake will come out then, since i made a highpoly of the flamethrower in the meantime and had to do quite a few edits to it to get some decent bakes.

I have resolution to finish this though, seeing how much time i put into it already :)
