Sure, it has happened. But as Sax and a few others have said. It is really a last resort.
Pistol is weak and has the worst aim.

It was better a few patches back. But then again, I think I remeber me thinking in those days that it was over-powerfull hehe.

Maybe we can land somewhere inbetween in the future. =)

As I play as SL quite a lot, I've probably sent you to your death, rather than save you. lol

@pistol: The most fun I've had though is playing BLUFOR in insurgency with pilot kit.

Suggestion for 1.0: Throwing Helmet at enemy is Alternate Melee Option. Also, after the last round of your last mag, you can throw your pistol at your enemy too.

Also some times for fun, kasha skirmish. Using the US pilot and hide on an bunker, I used my M9 shoot at 4 MECs. I managed to kill three of them with in two magazine at a distance of 15m. But finally got killed by a MG who got to the back of me

I'm a squad leader. My squad members are my weapon. If I use any of my weapons I view it as a failure.

Did your sidearm saved your life in Brecourt Assault during the event?

For me it happened quite sometimes while defending Brecourt.

Never actually used it in combat, but I did fire the Colt a couple of times and I really love the kick and sound of it.

Today there was a sticky situation on Op. Marlin and my sidearm saved my ***... was quite some distance aswell, didnt expect it to do so well.

Only Real Men disregard the primary in favor of the mighty M9 sidearm of badassery & blood lust.

Why would you be issued a weapon if you're not meant to use it anyway?

I remembered this thread and tried switching to the sidearm last night, should have just carried on running away..

.. Mind you that's usually a good idea anyway if you need to reload!

Aim at the head, noobs.

It has failed me/I have failed every time with the side arm as a defensive weapon. I've only ever killed a couple of snipers, and even then they drew for the 9 and made me bleed! I used to pwn, but now im fail-sauce with it. Alas.
