A word of free marksmanship advice; you're probably shooting with your non-dominant eye. You can handle it when you have your dominant eye shut, but the moment you try and shoot with both eyes open, your brain will default to your dominant eye and your sight picture will be all "Wtf".

Short of shooting with your non-master hand (which is harder to begin with than shooting non-dominant eye), your only hope is practice heaps. And heaps. And heaps. You'll get better results out of doing the same amount of shooting with your non-master hand though at first the results will be even worse that way.

this issue has been brought up many times, but it has been rejected on the grounds that the suggested solutions at the time would look odd, or were impossible.

i would personally suggest that instead of having the rifle centered on screen as it is now, for reflex sights that the rifle be slightly offset to the right of screen and blurred. then at the centre of screen add a floating red dot. much like the way one would see it with both eyes open.

@Truism: IRL the solution i found was to slightly squint my dominant eye. it blurs my vision in the left just enough that my right eye takes over

We got some brand new equipment for our campaign in Afghanistan. Maybe it can be added in the (far) future to PR. Our company will be the first one with this equipment in sevice.

BL?CHER SYSTEMS GmbH | Infantrymen of the Future - Enhanced System - (IdZ-ES)

Especialy the G36A3 is quite nice but its extremly hard to get Pics of it online (and i dont want to be the first one posting them)

The only difference to the weapons we use is the color of the sights (all brown), a new LLM (Laser Light Module) and the safety catch
(The International X ; - : ------ instead of S(icher) ; E(inzelschuss) ; F(euerstoss)).

It has the 30X4 ZO Scope with 4XMagnification

On top of it is the RSA Reflex sight

The optik in front of the 30X4 is a Night Vision scope or a Infared Scope i am not sure (looks not like the NSA or IRV scopes we got)

We got a lot cool stuff like for example a laser rangefinder for the 40 mm AG36 Grenadelauncher you can mount on the picatinni rail with wind/humidity detection (works like the fire-control computer in tanks) or the cooling system for the vest.

I don't know if that fits into BF :P R. But since ArmA 3 is playing in the near future it would be nice to see an addon that gives us to play as the "future" bundeswehr.

@MADsqirrel Will the boxer be a replacement for the Fuchs in the near future? Since it's more like an APC and the Puma is afaik a IFV. You seem to have more informations than I do.

Maybe the boxer will replace the fuchs in the far future (planned 2025), but ATM the Boxer is only for Afghanistan and training in Germany. In Afghanistan most Fuchs 1A8 without special equipment (like the jammer Fuchs) will be replaced with the boxer but some 1A8 and 1A8A3 will stay.

Edit: also the future is NOW! We ARE using the stuff i am posting above actually (however we only have enough for like one company)

You guys actually have a computer strapped to your vest? I always thought that the cons (extra weight, cluckiness, limited battery life), would outweight any benefits it could possibly give you.

Information wins. The more you get accurately and immediately, the better the outcome of a fight will be.

Opinion is divided. I fall on your side of the camp. The technology just isn't good enough to warrant it.

You might want to carry out this discussion in this thread.

When I understand Rhino correctly, there won't be CarlZeiss Optics replacing what we have now.
